My Christmas wish - go back to the 4 deerstalkers, 4 recyclers that had been available on test for this event. :)
The ability to acquire new bufs in the Rarity Provision House is freaking AWESOME. I'm sure some will complain about prices/value, but I'll just ignore those. This is the kind of cool, new functionality I've been hoping for. Thank you!
Finally, a way to use all those extra barrels/scarecrows/herbs.
Small glue speeds up the production of the bookbinder by 20% for how long?
I'm not complaining...it's just an observation. Since new Irma baskets are much more efficient than old ones, and since we are getting (some say too many) settlers in adv loot, I am finding hard to find a use for the old PH. I would have liked to see these new buffs spread between PH and RPH.
I can't wait for 24 hr Irma! :)
24 hour irma is awesome. I have been buffing 30-35 buildings three times a day since Halloween. Nice to just set it and forget it until I get home from work the next day. I'll still probably find some use for the 6 hours (mostly my gold mines), but I will mostly use 24 now.
It'll be nice to have the option to choose between the two Irmas. The 24 hour ones use sausage, and some people may not want to spend that resource.
The one that concerns me is the Stop Buff. Better not be allowed to use that on a friend's island. I can't imagine why anyone would want this thing, or ever spend the resources to make one.
finally a cheap 24hr buff, it really is x-mas
the old irmas also use sausage (in fact taking into account total time the new ones will use less), and the stop buff is a long time coming since you cant buff a building that's already buffed with something else
2 wonderful additions
I would hope that the Stop Buff only works on your own island. I'd hate to see the chaos unleashed if people can stop buffs on other people's islands.
The event stuff looks fun and I like most of the new buff ideas.
I do have a question about the Halloween event.
The Dev's Diary for that event said;
{What happens to the Golem buffs in my Star Menu?
The production resources will be refunded, the buffs removed. Running productions will be completed in normal time, then get refunded as soon as they are transferred to the star menu.}
Would it be possible to get our resources back from the leftover items we made during the last event?
Doesn't work on friends island (at least this was the mechanics on the test server).
Might be useful in situations like: snow buff dropped on Ft Castle, to end in 1-2 hours but you have to leave home and come back much later. Ofc you have the option to remove the beans from storage, leave just a few to cover those 1-2 hours left - or - drop a Stop buff then drop another snow. Probably is not going to happen a lot, but it is something nice to have. Likely you'd need just a few of those, so maybe doesn't make sense to spend 120 presents, better buy them form somebody else.
Endesmor: the 3 dates listed are on thursdays. our maintenance has been running monday night/tuesday morning. will it be a separate maintenance for the event, or are the dates inaccurate?
only 2 recyclers now? :(
the stop buff allows u to control the buff schedules to better coincide with your schedule. for example, you will be gone for 2 hours and the buff runs out in 1 hour. you use the stop buff to stop the current buff, then you reapply a new buff that gives you a 4 hour time frame to get back and keep the workyard running on buff time. for steel, exo, and other high end yards, this is important.
Well i would think in cases like this you may just shut off the building. I mean turn it off and let the buff run out instead of spending another buff to do the same thing in essence. Now i am sure there are cases where you may want to apply another buff as well.
Thank you for grout for both silos. It is such a delicate balance between the silos and the farms, without making a field run out. Until now, I have had to move things around to squeeze in an extra silo. Now I just have to grout up some of the silos. Thank you for that.
And thank you for presents and marble into granite. You are giving us granite. You are giving us granite!
I can't wait for 24 hour Irma's and to get a rarity provision house. The only bad thing is that they reduced the amount of deerstalker's and recyclers that we can get. I really wish we could get more of those things.
same here, Craig42
Why am I not suprised they changed that number of Deerstalkers/Cyclers you can aquire? Hopefully they changed where you can aquire FM through that one package that earned them tons of money last yr.
What time will it start? If it's simultaneous on all servers will it start Wednesday night sometime? Just wondering, as the free move ended at a different time than maintenance so if this was programmed in a similar fashion...
I don't want a repeat of last year when the advent calendar was cutting off early US time because of a late start to the event, so if we know what 24-hour period constitutes an "event day" then we can try to avoid issues.
Thanks,
KH
The event should start on December 11th before noon, US time.

can't wait for it to start!
Looking forward to the event.
hahaha that will be my first purchase!
Agree! Not sure about all the recipes, but that one will be awesome. I actually kinda wish it was like 23 hours and 55 minutes though, I dislike the slow time creep of all the timers. For a long time, I had my 7th login day gems and epic 100-gem weekly purchase at the same time, but now they're two days behind. Even with the best of intentions, I'll be hard pressed to used 6x feasts in a week.
Please don't consider that a complaint though, I will be so much better off than before when I self buff.... just a thought maybe the cool down timers need to be just under 24 hours or just under 7 days... it would take a serious hard-core freak to gain from moving the 24-hour cooldown to like 23:45 and the 7 day cooldown to like 6 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes.
True it would be nice to see it so that you could buff at the same time but remember something will more than likely stop you from getting on at the same time 7 days a week for as long as you play. The timers will get messed up and you will have to use a stop buff to reset it. Which is why I'm not complaining at all.
I started "Getting into christmas spirit"before quest came. Now quest not completing
BRAVO Lords and Ladies on the holiday sounds!! I feel like a squire again in King Charles' court during Michaelmas!!!
Nice. The first set of presents came quickly enough that I can afford Irma already.
Lucky explorers continue to rock.
Small glue is pretty good -20% for 12 hours. Manuscript 12 hour production is good because it's easy to do 2 a day, but the higher level books suck because they are over that so then I always have to either use the regular glue or skip a book cycle. This way, I can make those and knock it back down to 2 a day. Not sure how readily I can come by bronze cauldrons, though.
Please remove the snow from the irma's feast basket stack image... the white completely obliterates the stack count... (did no graphic designer get involved in this?) -- you cant see the single digit stack counts unless you actually attempt to use them... which is counter intuitive when sending to friends etc.
also- FIVE explorers came back from long treasure searches (all skilled in treasure to at least the 2nd tier) and NOT ONE brough back presents... of my 2 lucky - only one brings presents. Since in their wisdom dev's decided we cant see skill sets while searching is happening i cant tell you what 'different' book is on the one versus the other. I do know that they're in general not bringing nearly as many as 2013... in fact its about 1 % at this point.
Snowflakes!
especially the free kind would be nice.
