the population glitch has returned with a vengeance. For several days my military count has been off. All my individual troop counts end in 0 or 5 yet my total count ends in 9...was 8 yesterday. And now this morning my total population shows half what it should be yet I still have all my military and working settlers. Plus I seem to have about 130 extra settlers. This is in addition to the unemployed settlers I should have.
My military units are counting for 0.5 units each. Correct otherwise.
yup - same issue here.... i have 3439 undercounted on troops..

Seriouly, BB_Endesmor. I think a better explanation is owed. I have not done any expeditions, I have built some troops, but have not lost any. Don't see how I am to "fix" this mismatch. Just ignore it? *sigh*
is it really saying I need to kill off more than the difference in troops to 'fix' the issue? That's kinda a lot of troops.
I used to have fun going around in circles.
On the adventures I do, I lose maybe 10-15% of my troops, so I guess the troops will always count for half (am I interpreting this right?). I don't think this is necessarily helping or harming me, though it does make it easier to have troops in reserve. Until a fix comes out and I have to go killing thousands of troops so I can get some new settlers for my mines.

For me, it automatically fixed itself, probably while I was trying to add too many settlers. Population jumped suddenly from 60% to 100%.
The proposed fix - kill off enough settlers and the count will reset - does not actually reset anything. I went down to zero in the count (despite having more troops than that, but still less than half my total ACTUAL pop), and nothing has reset.
How much is enough settlers? I did 2RB, added 2x625. My pop is still not reset. My original pop before maintenance should be around 21k.
So I have to kill off over 6000 troops to reset it --now thats a hell of a fix! Comeon!

This is really confusing. As others have said, the patch note does not explain it, and we don't know how to get to to display the correct numbers, and our best guess at interpreting the patch note doesn't help any. Also worrisome that after running an adventure, even though i haven't added enough pop via retired bandits to bring me up to my population limit (ie. added only about 2/3 as many as died in the adv), that the total of my assigned units, unassigned units, workers, and unemployed settlers, now adds up to 230 more people than my population limit...The patch note doesn't explain this. I made even fewer replacement recruits after the adventure than I lost since I had by then noticed the strange pop numbers, fewer than the pop I added with retired bandits.
The patch notes kind of implies the numbers should correct themselves, but they are getting more and more screwed up. Seems like there's nothing we as players can do that won't make it worse. Are pop going to seemingly disappear into thin air like a few months ago? Are we going to eventually see negative numbers?
This really, really needs a thorough explanation. The little we've gotten so far doesn't make sense and doesn't address all of what's going on.

i cannot afford to have all my workers striped from the jobs because there are too many military from this pop glitch.... it took me 2 weeks to recover them last time.
