Few things to fix the so called "PvP"
Without going into details, PvP is not an attractive alternative of an end game player. Once the novelty wears off it offers no reason to engage.
To my surprise, in general the new system is not utterly broken. It can be fixed up by a few easy steps:
- allow 1 PvP and 1 "regular" adventure at the same time.
- introduce rewards multiplier of some sort (the more colonies you control the more resources, per colony they produce)
- introduce meaningful Valor rewards.
- re-do all rewards other than titanium ore and granite
