I brought the max of Shotfirer and demo crew buff and I still have leftover rock that can be cleared. Was there a glitch on my part or did Ubisoft intentional made the number of max buff to be limited so you cant clear the island? Also I was wondering will more be added in at a later date?

When I was drifting my mouse around the island, I noticed that quite a few of the rocks were not selectable.
Ubisoft wasn't bad at math, they just wanted feedback they that could ignore...it has been raised on the testforum already, but the obvious...

You have to choose what building you want to place on your island, and where. For the same reason, you have to choose which skills your specialists will learn, you cannot have everything.

Sooo... how soon after we spent the gems on the demo crews, after we demolish some rocks but not all, after we whine about it and after we whine more about it.. how soon after all that the expansion islands are coming? This year? Next year? Just want to know how patient we got to be.
Except figuring out which ones give you the most space is a complete crap shoot at this point. I cleared a mountain yesterday in Sec 9 and got 1 (ONE) 2x2 spot.Quote:

I got 9 spots in s7/s8. The sector division line between 7 and 8 makes you think it's sector 8 so you can just go straight there and use 3 shotfires and 1 demolition crew. :)

If we take out the complete mountain range in S6, we'd have a decent amount of space to build a whole chain of stuff even, I'd wager it being about 8 spots, ignoring the tree and maybe a mine that may or may not block a spot. But that's beyond the point. Most of the stuff that we can blow up is at the edge of the island, which doesn't allow for a maximum efficienty (aka the storehouse with the diamond grid layout), although parts of S7 and S9 look like they could be feasible if you move around your current buildings to fit the newly aquired space.
Pretty sure BB thinks we will blow up a single piece of mountain and the very edge, build a cannonsmith there and have him walk for half a day to reach a storehouse, but going by the players (hint hint) most of that free'd up space is for Nobles and the likes, since they are too remote and only a few places allow for "real building space for your economy".
So if BB let's us blow them all up or not is rather moot, the real deal with space is with them trees...they are everywhere, and most where we don't want them to be ;)
But well, this isn't a topic to get worked up about it, since the effects are a (expensive) bonus in the end rather than a B-slap in the face again. Since I haven't felt any major performance problems for once with the implentantion of said addition...good job, even if priorities should be somewhere else.
Wish I have known about this earlier about choices I would have put in more thought into it. I didn't hear any warning or choices being made about where to use them. There should be a warning sign about these stuff. Not everyone goes to test forum to test things out. Maybe I can get a refund so I can do it all over again. I feel let on and disappointed in this. Just another nail in the coffin I suppose.

Unlike making choices to customize your island. You could pay to move your buildings. Paying to make your mistakes. So if BB wants me to pay to restore rocks, and choose something else. That would be great.
But this I blame BB for not properly informing players about the choices on the rocks.
Personally I think this is quite valid complaint. There should be a loud and clear msg in devs diary or a warning sigh when you buying the crews/shots to plan ahead because it is not enough to clear ALL rocks/mountains. I just checked the test forums and couldn't find any info about this.
Just cause devs know about it and planned it this way doesn't mean players know. There is a very consistent record of BB not informing players properly which leads to a lot of grim on forums. It is not our fault we don't know there wasn't enough demo crews to clear all rocks/mountains. I cleared about 3 formations before a guildie told me to plan this because there isn't enough in the shop to clear all.
Get on your game BB and inform people instead of letting us find out the hard way. Those are not collectibles that we can find or miss, those are real money purchases. And there is a huge difference between some remote cleared areas or sec 9. There is a beautiful expansion opening (sec 9) allowing placement of a storehouse and few extra production facilities, similar in sec 8. Other openings are rather remote and mostly used efficiently for placing housing.
Some part of the game might be fun for players to check and "find out". Whenever you place a restriction on something BB (especially purchased by real money) - get in a habit of informing players about it upfront. It wasn't fair to keep us in the dark about it. At all.
These buffs require a significant amount of gems to purchase. You can only get them with gem purchases. You can get gems by buying them with real money. Seems like it would make sense to offer enough buffs to clear the available spaces. Players would be happy, and Ubisoft has the potential to make more money. I guess I have a flawed perception that businesses are naturally driven to be as profitable as possible. Players are posting that they want more buffs available to clear more rocks and mountains. They want to spend gems......you don't want to sell them. Amazing.
