Quest: The egg competition

HELP!!!

I'm attempting to complete the THE EGG COMPETITION; All the Eggs: acquire 500 stripy eggs. I've managed to acquire 571 stripy eggs which are in the mayors house but only 387 are registered on the quest. At the rate of 10 per day (which there usually are not ten stripy eggs) on the collect items quest, it would take another 10 to 15 days to get enough to finish THE EGG COMPETITION. I've attempted to sell items in the TRADE, but so far nobody seems to be buying (probably because of the competition) and if I purchase any item with a stripy egg, it is deducted from the 387 on the quest requirement. Any suggestions?

Round trade with a friend or a Guidie.

Are you sending out explorers or adventuring? Both would provide you with more eggs.
