Feedback - Midsummer Night Event

You got me to sit here and ponder what they could do to infuse the current Event with a route to tokens without doing a major change to the Event. Here is what I came up with: each day for the rest of the Event, they send us an email. The email lets us choose one of several options. First, to receive a certain number of the egg, pumpkins, or footballs which are balanced since eggs are worth the most and footballs are worth the least. Or you can send back a number of eggs, pumpkins, or footballs and have them redeemed at twice the normal rate of the Provision House. Imagine the trading this would cause, as players tried to amass one type to trade in at twice the normal conversion rate.

Haven't seen an answer yet to this...I have over 1K of each Christmas Collectible to make Presents with, but no way to do so to be able to have more Presents to convert into Tokens. What if any will be the use of these Collectibles if not going to be able to use them for this Event, since Presents will be gone?

Nice Willy! You can use your provision house to convert and then purchase stuff.

you will still have them in storage and hopefully come Christmas you will b able to make presents with them

So there will be a way to carry presents from one event to another..
My guess would be, that this is an oversight from BB..

i'm thinking collectables will be usable this year and unused ones removed at the of the Christmas event...maybe?

BB posted that collectables will stay, just that at the end of every event, the event resource be it presents or eggs or pumpkins will be converted to coin and gone. so that no more hoarding can take place. that being said new players will still find reason to whine simply for the fact an older player has more stuff and can sset the price on evwent items, so nothing really changes just makes it more interesting/profitable for established players

Hoard collectibles...

No, presents will be converted at the end of the midsummer event, since they are currently tradeable for tokens. Once this event ends, all presents & tokens will be converted to coins or something related. I don't know about collectibles that went towards presents.

lol, Sounds great; until BB decides that hoarding collectibles needs to be curtailed as well! ;)

Seriously, though - Hoarding normal collectibles is good, but with the changes that are happening with the events, I am not sure that collectibles from events, though you may have them, will be the same ones used each year?!

Not sure what post is being referred to, but will search for it.

it was one of the posts with the new event items or easter. mod magenta responded to someone's post. something about them being invisible to other players

it's in this thread, post 99 or 100ish

did even more research and it's in last years summer event dev diary
about stuff being hidden and reusable next time that certain event comes again

This is now occurring July 20th, a full day ahead of when the event is supposed to end, but only for some players, not all. Not cool, BB!

So much for last minute cheaper tokens, apparently the last minute was sooner than expected :eek:

Is now after 0500 hours, 21JUL2015... still not back up from maintenance.
