I have like 25 or so Generals and my Veterans are in different places, same with Quarter Masters and other Generals in the Star Tab.
Would love a way to reorder them so they are all together by same class of General instead of all over the place.

I would love to reorder explorers too.. etc.. Marshals sandwich in between my explorers.. why? So annoying, that one has to keep scrolling, and clicking in seemingly random order..
i'd like a tab for gens and a tab for explorers and then to be able to reorder them.... a tab for buidlings... a tab for co-op adv separate from standard adv....

YES! And alphabetization of the star menu, too!
Actually, the star menu is already partially alphabetized, particularly the resource section. The jokers are that all of the name under which it is filed are not the same as the english names in game, and production house items are listed before findables. The maps are semi-alphabetized as well, but has many of the low level adventures in the beginning and uses 'the' as part of the title of the adventure inconsistently.
However, the star menu needs a lot of work in general to improve the GUI. They likely did not consider the number of different generals that would eventually be available, or even the different explorers that were made. The volume of stuff that people have in their star menu after several years was likely not anticipated, nor that people can use their star menu as a secondary storage method. The same is true with the number of adventures, as there are at least 2 entire categories of adventures that didn't exist at the start of the game, the co-ops and the scenarios. Personally, I don't even think the 'all' tab has any value any more, due to just the large amount of stuff in each category.
Recently, there have been a number of things players have requested in order for the star menu to be more functional. These include:
- the ability to stack like items with quantities
- the ability to move specialists to specific orders
- the ability to move items from star to storage without re-opening star each time
- stacking maps and creating a quantity number rather than multiple copies
- the ability to assign troops to a general without landing the general
- more tabs to divide the categories, especially the current misc tab with both maps, decorations, and buildings
