Adobe Flash is integrated into the browser itself, as documented here. There have been several recent security fixes implemented by Adobe to fix some vulnerabilities, but there does not appear to be any official release that they will be removing it completely.
There's no way that any browser could stop supporting Flash, as it is crucial to so many websites nowadays.
Chrome has been using a special version of Adobe Flash Player for a few years.
As mod_Magenta said, it is integrated in the browser and will update automatically.
The end user will not be affected in any way.

So it seems a bit more complicated than that, no? They're going to "intelligently" pause animations ...

Seems like that's a bit more intrusive/complicated for games like this. Is a general's travel animation "central to a page" or not? If Google deems it not central, then blocks become pure guesswork.
Straight from the article:
It's enabled by default, but users can choose to manually switch the option on, off, or have Chrome prompt you when to play non-central items by heading to the browser's content settings and choosing an option under the "Plugins" heading.
If I'm reading this correctly, we'll have the option to turn off the "pause animations" feature, so play shouldn't be affected.
