Once you get to level 75 and your Island economy skill tree is fully upgraded, you can start posting trades offering game resources for a new game currency. We have gold coins, star coins...what about BBit Coins ? BB_Blatter will help setting Swiss accounts, so we can shelter some of the money.
-
oh no not going to empty your vaults are you?
-
So if they abolish the Star Coins for awhile, what happens to the ones we currently have? Will we be able to keep what we've bought but haven't used yet? I basically haven't bought much of anything with them. I've just been slowly collecting them. Will they be converted into XP once the level raise is in place to give the people that have been 50 for awhile a little head start? Will they just sit uselessly in storage for a couple of years it'll likely take an average player to get to level 75?
-
Of course the real question: Will we actually see any changes this year? As much as I don't mind doing Expeditions (at least Tier 1 ones), I don't want to spend the next 8 months doing basically nothing but them.
-
I think we can do both. I only use star coins now for gems and maybe premium days, not bad things but not overly compelling after a point either.
-
Will all adventure give xp toward new level cap? Or only Alibaba "resource sink" (more like a resource black hole) will count toward xp to get to 75? I hope not...
Will there be new military units more powerful to help us save troops on hard adventures, or just costing more resources to provide another resource sink?
Will we be still able to use accumulated star coins for purchasing in shop (gems/weapons) while on our chore to reach lev 75?
Will expansion islands come first and lev 75 caps after? It would make sense to help us prepare and reorganize.

Reading the test forums about Ali Baba adventure chain it looks like it was designed with general skill tree (bonuses) in mind. Hard camps needing to waste S/ES to clear, the bosses with super high HP and damage impossible to clear without Maj General etc.
Is this the path devs have in mind? Get to 50, get your epic weapons production going, start doing FT advies for beans, get Maj Gen and THEN you can start your progression into 75? Will regular adventures still give xp? Even if very little compared to the new "leveling bread and butter" - Ali Baba's (like Surprised Attack was the fast track from 42 to 50)? Lots of questions. What and how many new units are on the horizon? How expensive will they be to make and what resources?
Guess got to get patient and see what's slowly coming to test. One huge request to the devs. Please don't make anything more tedious. Or at least make options for us. If you want faster go knock yourself up and grind hard core. If you want slower and easier - here you go. Thanks.

Well they said they'll be new units. I'm going to assume they'll be better than what we have now. They'll be a resource sink as well though probably, especially if you don't get one until say lvl 70. My best guess on the future:
1) New building: Gunsmith ... Steel + Gunpowder = Rifles; New unit: Riflemen ... The next step beyond Crossbowmen.
2) They will likely be a melee group better than Elite Soldiers, but I can't think of the next ore step above titanium (well, adamantium if they want to go the fantasy metal route).
3) New Unit: Heavy Cannon ... This would be a lvl 70 type unit; I'm thinking Carriage + Titanium = Reinforced Carriage, then Reinforced Carriage + Gunpowder = Heavy Cannon.
4) Outside of the box - New Resource: Obsidian, which is a volcanic glass. Obsidian knives have the distinction of being some of the absolute sharpest in the world. This sets up a High Damage melee unit, which would likely have low HPs to compensate.
5) New Unit?: Heavy Cavalry (or maybe Knight) ... like a Cavalry with better damage and possibly slightly more HPs; Horses + ?? = War Horses?, Steel + Coal = Plate Armor?, It just seems like they could have a next generation Cavalry unit.

Also I would guess all adventures would continue to give experience, but given the sheer amount required just to get from 49 to 50, you would likely need to do the FT to fast-track your way to the next levels. Of course you *could* still play like 800 Horsebacks in a row to get to 51.
