Players have quite few great ideas. I am still reading the flow of info and brainstorming on test forums. Unfortunately, there is an underlying issue that has appeared during "new combat balance" and hasn't been fixed yet. BB not fully understanding how combat works in the game.
Skyfall summarized this most efficiently about the new units in lev 50-75 advies:
"About the cavalry losses : my bet would be the BB people still dont have a slightest idea how fights work and how far goes the consequences of adding ie. splash damage to certain unit types.
No kind of regular unit that exists in camps in numbers higher than 50 should ever be allowed to have all 3 of splash, first strike and high damage together, not because it increases army requirements, but because it does so exponentially. Im all for gradual increase of the difficulty but this here I just consider bad design."
Unless devs learn how combat works and make proper changes to new units we are going to be stuck with:
*3 armies to maintain (2 if you don't do pvp) - Population will be a hard thing to pass here since the new manor show up at 71(lol, really?)
*Cavalry becoming new meat grinder - unfortunately cav is much resource consuming and slower to replace than Recruits
*Halt and wait - you will not be able to start making new units off the bet (got to get to 54 first to unlock it) and they are very slow to make (granted you have the resources first). Getting those alone will be a chore that can only be completed by doing...new adventures with your old units.
