Can anyone help me make sense of the mixed pvp camps?

I understand unit types and what to use when for the basic camps & 2 unit leaders, but what I'm having difficulty with is when there is the 3 unit camps.

Is there any sort of logic used to how/why the unit you are currently fighting switches around? Really unsure how to deal with these mixed camps now that I've progressed to the 'rich' colonies and they are much more abundant.

its a bug that happens when theres dogs on the camp
elite units in general are problematic when in mixed camps, includes your on guardsman blocking mixed camps

Ah ok, sort of happy to know its a bug, aggrivating as that is, since I sure couldn't make sense of it! Thanks for the info

Oh...that's supposed to be a bug? And here I thought they just want to up the aggrevation level during lag.
