so many losses, shouldnt kill any LB even, just send a bit more of regular bows, saves many hours, even days in the barracks
What's the rush anyway - use the non-combative 1st island (not the attack zone- freebie) to start moving buildings - and leveling stuff up - do some Tailors to get to Level 54 plus and start making the new troops - or that's right - I said - "wait" - never mind!

Hi Evil_j, think about generals too, beans, etc... expansion island will be not made in a week probably :), and we can start making them already .. i know a lot of ppl with more than 10k pop (and over 20k)
Anyways... 1:36 vs 0:48.. but damage is 30-60 instead of 20-40..., the extra damage will kill troops since our troops are not AOE.

I'm that attack, with the first 3 attacks i kill the 120 Sword Wielder, took 770 LB to kill them and 3 veterans...
770 x 1:36=73920 seconds = 20 hours and 32 minutes to make 770 LB
I'm needed 1070 bowmans to kill the same troops
1070 x 0:48 = 14 hours 16 minutes to make 1070 bowmans... but for 2 more generals needed (probably not a big problem).
You are right, faster, but probably using long bow you will use less generals and attack to camps in "a wave" while if you need extra generals maybe you can do only one.
Anyways must be fast for me do a new guide with with bowmans only, i just need to clone the guide using my editor :)

lb does 1.5x more damage than bows
but take 2x more time to train, easy
everyone able to afford these losses have plenty of generals too
you dont really need to take down A2....or A3, depends form which side you attack
on A4 you sac 596 cav and 42S, 25.5h in barracks
i send 220c on mma, then major with 127s, 13.8h.....just an example :)
by the way, i dont know what most people will do, but its pointless to clear all these sectors with old troops, clear just a couple to build the new buildings, and then wait a bit :)
Thats wrong for some reasons.. New troops are no cheap, they cost a lot of time and more money (specially the first months) and you will not get them fast (level)... Few ppl have all the beans needed for all sectors. Production times with 3x buffs is pointless when it will take some weeks anyways. My gides are sort by cost because is what ppl usually look at... , anyways each user will have his own strategies, and i'm just trying to help them.
Hardcore players will use nukes with star coins, these guides are not form them

i've been working thru this guide on test. there are a bunch of camps that no longer intercept (since that last update) -- the most glaring is the 1st set that were intercepted by the clouded camps. perhaps you can update that? Also i found the ones where you are sending troops to a blocking camp - but having them retreat really confusing (since there is no attack on the main leader - just the block camp??) i ended up killing off the blocked camp (per the troops you used) and then the leader - since i couldn't figure out why the retreat...(if its retreating after attacking the block camp - which for the most part is a loose attack anyways - how is that an attack on the leader? (and since it's loosing - why the retreat?)
also - at least in test - only mma is available -- so personally i see attacks w/ 4 or 5 mma's and that's not doable for me (i have 2 irl but that's it)... so on test i using a stupid amount of medipac's -- irl i'd refuse to even use one. :D

About the retreat camps, you only retreat the last general, I was doing that in 6 camps... the first 3 camps was because attacking leaders intercepted our troops (sector 1 and 3 if i'm not wrong), the 3 last were around the same leader camp, you attack the camps attacking the leader and being intercepted in order, if not, you need to clean another camp that is above.
About the mma, yes, i know, and in others attack you need like 5-6 veterans.. but you will need more time to do the troops than the 2 hours of mma being available again. This "map" will need several weeks to be done.

I think I will use 1R MMA for the sacrifice cavalry waves. the cavalry training time is longer than the MMA recover time..
unbuffed barrack train 50 cavalry in 2 hours. my 3 MMA equal to 150 cavalry every 2 hours. and my barrack won't be available in the first week anyway.

Bookmarking for reference, but I'm curious to see how many of these I can just pound away at 1 recruit at a time with 4 MMAs when I'm not adventuring.
I needed to fulfill that great American need for "instant gratification" and cheated by using a few insta-attacks to clear Sector One. I was stockpiling my nukes for Ali Baba but LvL 55-56 seems so far awayyyyyy...
I think when this is over I will have a plaque made that says, "In memory of the 700,000 horses who gave their lives to clear this island."

Actually, If you have all the time in the world or in no rush to clear the islands sector. You could just send the MMA with 1 recruit to hit up the camps over and over. I have 4 MMA so just sending them over and over to weaken the camps. It's cheaper to do it that way.
That's what I'm doing, except I don't want to kill sword wielders and sword masters one at a time, but everybody else goes down within a reasonable time frame. I guess I'll probably lose a few thousand soldiers, few thousand bows, and some recruits, though it'll take me months to finally get to the end of the attacks, but it's not like I really need to finish any time soon since it'll take me so many levels to really take advantage of it anyway.
I cleared the 1st sector w/ 1r mma for the most part. I loaded up the MMA for the last hit against the boss. I also tested with the mod - and he was utterly useless - no kill at all with 1r.
In the next sector, i found the 1r mma is ineffective against the sw wielder camps, barely 1 sww died. so i had to use this guide:

However, i just used 220r for the last hit since i don't have a major. All of the guides assume we have a major.. a lot of us don't. :(
The next camp after (100 Sword Clasher,100 Horseman,1Mysterious Thief) is dieing well with 1r mma - i get about 9-10 per hit w/ 1r mma.
Same. I've just been substituting veteran for major and running it through a find best attack simulation. The guides mostly still work in that situation, but anywhere that it says major needs to be reconfigured and somewhat higher losses can be expected. I was going to get a major, but I need all the stalks I have for sector deeds. I'll get a major or two eventually, but it probably won't be before I clear the archipelago.
Is it just me or is everyone else having the same issues, Game freeze up and even though my Barracks are lvl 6, with a buff on it, it still will not go any faster. The only thing that does go fast is my fan in my PC. Is the game going to fix up it's servers to take the add on's or are we looking at more freeze ups and a slower internet connection.
I used the nukes from the star coin shops. Had a few left over potions from before for the bosses. Actually you could just nuke the boss camp only and the entire camps disappear. But I ran out of coins.
If you have any generous friends with left over star coins, you might want to pay them to use some on your camps if you're desperate.
I'm regretting now not playing for the last year and half building up star coins. And selling all my more secluded experiment maps.
Just a word of advice/caution for nuking the leader camp and skipping the other camps.
If you skip camps and kill the leader camp, you won't get the loot rewards if they just disappear.
You have to kill the camp if you want the loot for that camp.
I noticed that when I nuked the leader camps only I only got license +starcoins. But actually killing camps, you get loot like mahogany wood.
it has always been like that, just like on home island, if you skipped or blocked a camp you got no loot from said camp. you only got loot for the boss in that sector. the expansions are not an adventure they are just more property in the home island area and works the same way
After killing a bunch of bows to finish off one particularly brutal sword master camp, I finally noticed that recruits would kill more units for less cost.
