Back when I was a CL, Zeus always went down for maintenance before Ares and came up first. My guess is that they *thought they* figured out the problem on Zeus first and then were going to replicate to Ares tomorrow. But from what I'm hearing, it might not be fixed on Zeus either (completely, anyway).Quote:

I just don't understand how a 6 hour maintenance turns into 24 hours. You would think with their track record they might err on the side of caution with their predictions. Next time just pause everything for 24 hours and give everyone a nice bonus. Less stress for them and less frustration for us.

No matter how bad you want the server to be up and running, I assure you that the people whose paycheck comes from it, those people who are so deeply vested in this game that they work on it for their way of life - they want it up and running more than you do. Not because of the lost revenue but because they love this enough to do it for a living.
It will be up as soon as they can make it that way. Until such time as it returns to service it's best to muster what patience you can and spend the time figuring out what you want to do with the new content when it's available.

the headquarters are in germany. i'm hoping their 'morning' starts around when they normally do maintenance, around 4AM (EST) so hopefully if we all (try) to have a (offline) life, and go back when we get up in the morning they'll ... only have a few hours left lol. i'm thinking they'll be up mid afternoon tomorrow.... I know they're working hard and don't want to give them any *** but I.NEED.MY.FIX. *sigh* i just feel bad for everyone who didn't shut off everythign last night. if i wanted it to run only with a buff, i shut it down, and warned others to do so...but i can imagine a lot of people's special mines went down today, and they're not ogoing to be happy :/
The German server was supposed to do maintenance and update tonight, but they postponed the update till later this week sometine
I'll be back tomorrow night to check out these "new" things then. I look forward to reading your reviews. :)

Still the game is down. I don't understand why buff times are not also extended during these times? I time my buffs to run out after the shut down normally completes, but extended shut down of over a day is on them and they should extend the buff times as well as the other extensions they give to the time base aspects to this game.
