. I for one this statement is completely false. I have 2 Spawns that I was on for today, and have had ONLY 2 Pumpkins spawn so far. Not sure what the rate is for fellows Settlers, but having been playing for 3 Halloween Events now, I can safely say that Pumpkin Spawns have gone the completely opposite way as stated by BB.

2 this morning, none this afternoon.

I've gotten a few, and every single one is a single one. Pumpkins are pretty hard to come by thanks to no explorer drops, and this year there's actually stuff I want.

That is a joke. Must be a sense of humor. Two searches yesterday and the one this morning. I went to achievements to verify my lack of finding pumpkins and voila - I have a total of two (2) pumpkins from searches?!?! Funny thing is, I do not recall finding the second one. Other guild mates mentioned very similar issues. In fact, I do not think anyone has found more than a few - and as previously mentioned, only one is found at a time.

I have heard that lower level players are getting much better drop rates - though still only one pumpkin at a time, period.

This is 3rd Halloween for me as well, and this is by far the most stingy of events yet; especially when BB suggests that drop rates will be improved? :D

I've had 3 collectable spawns on my island so far. With a total of 1, 2, and 2 pumpkins. Not even close to last years.

First spawn 5
Second spawn 4
Third spawn 3

Dunno how much better that really is...at least this time they spawned on Day 1 first cycle...not after days and then 1 only haha

I got 7 in one spawn... e.e

2 spawns 1 pumpkin each.

At this rate no one is getting the find 100 pumpkins collectables achievement.

14 in 2 days. So I just need half the event. {5,2,2,5}

I'm at 16 now, so I don't think 100 will be hard to come by, but the total number isn't going to be very impressive.

took till this afternoon to hit the total 10 collected - so ya - that's not improved at all.

so yeah 1,1,1 and 0 so far not exactly numbers i would expect for increased spawn rate

2 days, 5 spawns, 5 total pumpkins.
Not looking good.

2 days, 7 pumpkins. If this is an improvement, then last year's must have been really awful.

Back to back collection drops of 8 then 9 collectibles?! (one pumpkin, raising my event total to 3) Some issues:

1. Why are the total number of collectibles so small? Never seen such small amount in, like - ever.
2. Why such a small distribution of pumpkins? Clearly this thread shows many people are experiencing similar results. (This following a BB post that the drops would be more than last year)
3. All of the pumpkin collectibles seem to be only resulting in one (1) pumpkin, unlike the multiple of 1-4 of past events?

Would a BB please respond to this thread? It would be nice to know if my understanding of the collections is accurate, or if the current drop rate is the way it is. If so, then the achievements are impossible to max out, through no lack of effort on player part; and as such can stop worrying about them and focus on other areas. It would be nice if the achievements given were actually attainable by an average every-day player.

since the XXL came out collectables have gone down in the amount that spawn, with a acheesment quest to collect 100 pumpkins through searches looks like this quest will be one I can't complete. so far only got 9 pumpkins in 7 spawns, no way to finish it and they are starting to spawn in and under things like rocks and in the middle of mayors' house.

The most recent spawn this morning, 0 of 10. I have a total of 9 pumpkins found. The total number of collectibles is so low, my average of 7-8 spawning (if I am lucky) that yes, the chance is higher when I get 2 pumpkins out of 9 collectibles. However, one of the options below needs to be integrated with the next maintenance hopefully.

1. The total number of spawned collectibles needs to increase.
2. The number of pumpkins found instead of being a singles should be 1-5, like the other collectibles.
3. The pumpkin percentage found or drop rate needs to be even higher than it is currently.

At this rate most of us will not be able to find 100 pumpkins on our islands for the achievement.

5 sets of collectibles, 1,1,0,1,3. So 6 pumpkins for 5 sets. At 2 sets per day (since I refuse to play 24/7) I should get 42 sets before they stop appearing. That means I might be able to get the "Find 50 pumpkins" achievement. "Find 100 pumpkins"? Not a chance.
Most of the achievements can be had by dint of hard labor and skill. These are totally dependent on supply, and BB is stiffing us on that.

All these responses and STILL no comment from BB about their flat out LIE of Pumpkins dropping more in this years Event...Waiting....

Yep, After 3 Days I'm at a Whopping 7 Pumpkins, Thank You BB for the Better Spawn Drops! At this Rate, 100 is nearly impossible.

I'm curious. How many collectibles are you guys getting in the Collect Quest? (this includes all collectibles and not just pumpkins).

I've been getting only 18 total. But others have told me they've gotten 24 and higher.

I'm wondering if it's because I've covered up all the potential places they can spawn.

Seems really random to be. My extra islands are currently untouched so there is plenty of space for spawning, however, at least 50% of all collectibles spawning for me are currently there. With that said, I get anything from 15-22 or so average and some wicked days around 30.

On another side note, I had that locked zone error the other day, after that the game was lag free (omg the amazing, kid you not) and I had a whooping 8 pumpkins spawn on top of that, felt like I nailed the TSO jackpot. Now it's back to the old state with double the amount of mini lags and next to no pumpking collectibles.

I was getting 1 to 3 each spawn, twice a day, still not enough to get the 100 collectible achievement.
But they are supposed to be fixing that in a maintenance right now...

I suppose we can close this thread discussion and let it die. Since the new Patch is going to fix the problem.

I average 17 total collects this event.... ONCE i got 24... last events i always had 24-32...
