While there is still a random number generator in play, there should be some normalization with this sample size. Assuming a more-or-less constant rate, one would need to collect just over 25% of the pumpkins for the achievement; call it 14 of 50 to safely get to the first bar or 25-30 to complete the full 100.
As far as I know, there is no way to boost the number of collectibles or pumpkins, and they are still only counting as one instance for the achievement metter even though they have changed the actual number of pumpkins gained to 1-3 per spawn instance. Despite this, I have already reached 52 pumpkins on my Zeus account and 47 on Ares. Assuming a generally consistent rate, I should have a fairly safe margin for completing the achievement.
As usual, we tend to forget these goals are achievements, rather than something simple to do. Honestly, the pumpkin collectibles seems to be the only set in the group that actually may require some actual effort. The one for the placement of tricks can be done in a day with minimal effort, the golem watering depending only on time for the spawns, and the pumpkin master quest can be completed just by placing the pumpkin patches and waiting. There may be some challenge for players to kill their own golems, assuming that their friends are not killing them already for their own achievement, but there is a 25% excess there as well. And unlike the achievements in the previous event, you do not even need to have purchased specialists to meet the goals.
Going back to my BK now. Maybe if more time was spent playing and less whining about it, it would go more smoothly.
