I've never had a problem with collectible numbers. Then again, I have a ton of open space. I do find it a little odd to get a collectible right next to an enemy camp.
It used to be 12-24 per spawn, with a bell curve centered around 18-20. And we searched the whole island for them. But since September, three things have gone wrong with collectibles.
1: The average spawn has dropped to 5-12, with the center at 8-9. Barely 50% of prior levels.
2: the amount of land required to check has grown by about 50% for those who have opened up the archipelago.
3: Collectibles keep appearing inside the improved storehouses, making them difficult to see.
I have to say it was an interesting part of the game before, searching the island for collectibles. Now, having to search my island, AND the archipelago, AND my ISHs, to find miniscule numbers of collectibles, makes it just not worth it. The effort for reward ratio has become too skewed to make it fun.

well, 8 collectables this morning.......hoping it was just my low count cycle, cause it's looking like it didn't get fixed. and since my Christmas collectables were taken from me I probably won't reach any achievement that this event will bringQuote:

What seems to be the first spawn after the change, I had 21 collectibles, which is about 50% over the the top values seen recently, and none were on the expansion archipelago.Quote:

Third time a fix has been announced though.

8 yesterday, 9 this morning. I don't usually pay much attention, but this seems worse.
i'm stuck on 8's it seems......yep 8 again, that's 3 spawns and only 8 per. now that my collectables were taken I defiantly won't achieve yet another event achievement............BB at least don't have the achievements' if you guys can't fix the spawn issue
Yep. Same here. Mostly 8's. Range has been 5-13... one 13, 2 5's and several 6's. Since the update - no change.Quote:

I have been getting 17-20 collectibles total since the maintenance (which is an improvement for sure), but NONE on my expansion islands anymore.
It seems to me the issue is somehow related to the expansion islands themselves (but oddly, not for everyone in the same way) ... it showed up when they did, and those who seem to have the most issues are higher-level players who are likely to have opened up ALL the expansion islands (I, myself, still have 1 sector to go, plus the gem-only island beyond it).
i got 15 total and 6 of those were banners for a total of 16 banners
7 now. And I'm one of the people who completed Halloween with no problem and have since cleared the rest of the archipelago, which sits empty except for storehouses and some mines.
ooOOOOoooOOOooOOHhhHHHH.... got a monstrous 10 on 2nd drop today.

Since my previous post detailing my observations it was announced that a fix was implemented.
You can't convince me of that, as I have seen no difference AT ALL.
I still get 5-12, and they still show up inside my ISHs.
A "fix" to a problem that causes nothing to change, is not a fix.
It's going to be a very somber Christmas event if I need to rely on collectibles for presents.
and they're STILL landing on the ISH... and now on my lettersmith.... !
Yep, I've noticed this too, they are landing in more locations they shouldn't/didn't before, and I have still yet to see one on my expansion islands since the 'fix'.Quote:

so what was this "fix" the fact they only spawn on old island? that's not a fix! I know I will get shafted on some collectable quest cause these things JUST DON'T SPAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! so I guess I can already start a Christmas collectable thread about not getting enough of these thing!!! and the fact you took the ones I saved from last year means it will be week 3 of the event before I finish the first quest.....awesome job whoever is "working" issue over there.
