It's fairly recent that I found out, but my conscientious geologist's Quality Copper Minershaft skill doesn't work on the second shaft found. It's listed among the "active" skills, when the shaft is moused over, but once the mine is actually built, production time is the slow, not the fast, value.

Bummer. So, the larger mines (copper and marble)do work (they are larger deposits), but not the quality.. I did not even notice that. Will watch for it now.
I've found a tell. Not afix, but a tell: If the "45% chance to find a deposit, which can be mined faster" appears at the bottom, instead of the top, of the list of active skills, it's a slow mine pretending to be fast. Even though I refind my copper mines 2x daily, I haven't seen the con-geo find two actually fast mines in one go, though.

Interesting... unfortunately I don't hunt copper mines any longer... Sounds lie a good catch, Foulfoot... be sure this is submitted on a ticket - it should be fixed. (I will look into the 'fast' coal mines just for curiosity as well)
