Surprise server maintenance shut-downs are very much not cool.
From what I read the only time the server will shut down is before something big like them loading an event. But I guess instead of complaining that maintenance is running late we can complain that we no longer have maintenance to run late? :/
i just got booted for maintenance, wtf?
they need to do maintenance to fix the patch for mainte-no-nance, but since there is no more maintenance...
Are people still playing this game enough to be effected by downtime?

The big problem with unannounced boot-for-maintenance episodes is that we have no warning and may have just sent an attack wave that needs to be recalled at a specific point, or set up a block that involves time consuming, expensive to reproduce troops. So unless it's a crash, we need the schedule/warning. Unless BB is planning to immediately replace the losses so we can continue?
Also, is this why all of our adventures are crashing? I dont want to run half an adventure, then get experience and have to start over again. not cool.
Anyone else out there having trouble getting bumped out of adventures and then receiving mail saying that you left an adventure (which you did not) and that you will receive the loot you would have received up to the point to which you left and also the adventure to start over again?
AND THEN NOT GETTING SAID LOOT OR ADVENTURE?
Also is anyone else having trouble signing in to Settlers today?
Others have the same issue?? I can't get logged in. I get to where the map load get a message "Server Zone Crashed" and that an error has been detected and kicked out again. It's frustrating :(. A ticket has been sent for it.
There were quite a few people this happened to last night... it all started at 2 AM CET when the no downtime maintenance is supposed to occur.
To think I was all happy forgetting that everything comes with bugs.

Yes, it starts with a zone locked adventure. It ends with a zone locked island. I also cannot log in :(
Yes, many are having this problem.
Happened to me the night before (~1600 hours PST Saturday). Not only that but ALL of the generals that were on that adventure (BLT) now have doppelgangers parked on my island hogging up very precious space. So now I have 58 generals... 25 of which are 'dead space'.
Yep, I did not get my experience, adventure or collectibles either, though the mail message asserted I would get them.

I'm having the same issue. Was using a premium and close to end of Sons of the Little Tailor. Booted me from the adventure yesterday and today I can't even get into the game.
Maybe it's a sign.

I am on my second day of not being able to play my game. They have tried to unlock the zone more than once (actually three times) now, but still have not been able to get in. *sigh* sure would like to play this game again. [Ticket#US-2016020112000773]
In addition I have also not heard anymore about getting bumped out of BLT adventure and getting mail saying we would get loot and adventure to do adventure again. They said they are working on it. I know now that I am not the only one this has been happening to. [Ticket#US-2016020112000086]
Please BB -- I would like to play again. This is the longest I've gone without playing since I started playing almost 2 years ago.
