When my geologist goes out the news feed shows he started his search. But the news feed stopped recording what he found or didn't find, no mention of it at all and I have to search all over the map to see if he found anything or not. :mad:

Same here. I hope this will be fixed soon as it is inconvenient not having those reports in the news.

This is a true statement, and is a new 'feature'.
On a side note, if you are not on your island (as in out on adventure or visiting another island), you will not get your island logs.
Additional info that may prove useful. The tab shows when a geologist is sent to search for stone and it says when stone is not found but it does not say when stone IS found.

I am not so sure. I had six all just not say anything. two should have found, max.

But just now my news said I have four new marble deposits found. In truth these were only 2 found. Others are not found yet. Is this a make up for the ones not reported??
must still be failing: had two geos come back from stone searches, and no entry in the news channel, appears that they should have found one according to the deposit sizes.
this glitch does not affect everyone, I think we only have 2 or 3 in our guild with it.
then there's also a glitch where the geo goes out and returns in a few minutes as if he never went out. One guldie has this glitch and has not been able to find any deposits in quite a while and support does nothing. Try playing without deposits of any kind, you can do it, but why should you have to?
When I started this thread the news feed was not working. IT STILL IS NOT WORKING! I searched for stones this am, and the geologist just went off into the sunset. So I did it again and it found some stone mines. What happened to the first request? Searches and their results just seem to vanish! And no, I cannot take a screen shoot of what didn;t happen!
Yes, this 'feature' is still working... happens every morning when performing the various explorer and geologist activities, when lots of system log entries are occurring. Sometimes all 3 stone searches conclude with no entry; other times one or two might make an entry (fail or success does not appear to make a difference either), though all 3 are back and ready to perform. For the record, I only send my wino (Tavern) geologists on stones searches, if that helps.
I have noticed that is appears to only affect 'stones' searches. This might be because of the large amount of activity on the island at the time. As it appears localized to 'stones' searches, I have not pushed the issue, though it probably should be dealt with as it might be affecting other activities as well, but we are not identifying.
happens occasionally on copper searches as well.....and could on others, we probably just notice it more on short searches when we are doing other island maintenance things....like sending out other geos or explorers, or a battle alert...things that generate another message....Quote:

It occurs for me on every kind of search but only sometimes. I've also have deposits not appear until like a minute after the geologist came back.
