Exotic Wood building chain and granite

I hope this can be fixed and relatively soon... just reached level 36, "Luxury materials" requires owning 2,000 granite. Sure, I can waste coins etc to buy granite in the trade offers, but that takes away from wanting to upgrade other buildings etc. I can also waste my 1 and only explorer to continuously search for granite in hopes he turns some up vs sending him out for adventures and fails to find the ones that actually show up in my quest book to complete.

Exotic Wood... I already have the exotic wood sawmill. Exotic Wood Forester and cutter Level 53!

Also, at level 36 I was given the crossbow smith - requires 5,000 exotic wood planks and 2,500 marble.

ALL buildings from level 40 and up require exotic wood and granite - yet we DO NOT have access to those buildings until LEVEL 53!!!

Granite Mason - LEVEL 60!!!!


Hope the developers can see how backwards both of these chains are and fix it in the next update.

Curious to ask - When did you start playing? :)
I am guessing 4 months tops..

Welcome :D, and all I can say in short is, don't worry and don't rush to finish those quests..
Also, join a guild if you haven't already.. Will help a lot.
Last, but not the least.. make lots of friends..

It's supposed to be a challenge, not a click and win game. Run some adventures with a chance for granite in the loot. Won't take as long as you think to get 2K.

Yes, already in a guild and about 3-4 months. Aside from rebuilding my armies (marshals included) to continue doing quests to gain the xp to advance in levels...

About the quests... I've had "Once and for all" (59 or fewer) in my quest book for 2 months with only ONE bandit leader remaining on my home island.

The point of my original post was for the developers to see how backwards the exotic wood building chain is.

The game has become a bit of a stale mate and loosing interest :(

A challenge yes, but not impossible...

It appears you've been here long enough to know that up until a few months ago there was no granite mason, no exotic wood cutter and no levels after 50. All granite and exotic wood came from either adventures, scouts or through trading. It's not impossible, people just earned the granite and whatever else they needed and kept on playing.
