Recycling Manufactory

Tried searching the forums, but did not get any results...can someone tell me what the "Recycling Manufactory" does specifically? When I mouse over it in the Merchant page there is no tool-tip with any sort of explanation.

Is there a listing anywhere for information like this, where a new player can get this information -- as there are other items/buildings, etc. that also have no descriptions, and it would be good to know what something is supposed to do before I spend Gems on it.

Celthon, the recycler makes coal out of thin air. So instead of having to have pine cutters and foresters to provide wood for a coker, you build a recycler and get "free" coal.

You don't get "free" coal. Any idea how expensive those buildings are? They are so worth it when you consider the amount of little buildings and licenses you'll use to feed the coker plus the coker itself.

Yeah, I know how much they cost, I've bought them. People buying and spending gems is what enables this game to be "free" for people who don't.
