BB will sell XP at some point, I can about guarantee it.
We need
I always took that to be the point. Make it take so long to hit the top level that almost nobody will ever do it. That way they don't have to be rolling out a new level 100 cap. The problem before is that people were hitting the top level quickly, sometimes within a few months. Then they would complain that it's BB's fault that they rushed through it. Now there's the opposite problem. Most people will probably get burned out on gaining XP long before they come anywhere near the top, but the option is always there if they really want it. My main goal is to hit 60 and then cut back but with a secondary goal of 62, which is a bit over 5% of the way to 75. After that, I'll keep doing some adventures, but I don't really see much point.
I still don't get the concept why the game "suddenly" becomes boring when you hit the level cap. So great, you don't actually get XP anymore, but literally _nothing_ has changed aside from that.Quote:

I hit level 50 with a level 3 barracks after 2+ years with only a bronze sword and bread chain and only using a few one day premiums... just wanted to run adventures and not be bothered with anything else. So once I hit 50, I finished upgrading a lot of buildings, moved some things around, bought some FM's, etc.
And now I'm back in the XP phase, got a one-year premium for it. It is a little crazy up here when you hit a new level and see 28 or 42 or whatever millions to the next level. Motivation would be much higher if there was new content every level or three.
EDIT - so I see no great need for daily xp.
but it cost you 400$ and i don't belive you "i once got a fish this big"
I realize that you want people to buy gems, but not everyone can afford to do that and I'm one of those people. My hubby would be less than thrilled if I was spending money on this game, which I did do just once, but it almost seems like you're trying to discourage people from playing UNLESS they're willing to buy those gems.
uhm......isn't that why companies do things, to make money? you can play for free and have almost everything in the game, but if you want to go faster and have more limited items, you have to spend money. as for the XP, yes the new lvl's are nice and all, but for me the changes came too late, lost interest in moving up and the amounts are kinda depressing to look at. and to have really nothing til you lvl 70 is kind of boring
I feel the same way really. I was at lvl 50 when the expansion came in, and I'm now only at lvl 51. Right now, the only goal I have is to get to Expedition lvl 30. The expedition maps are MUCH quicker than adventures, and the goal feels much more obtainable. I'm at lvl 22 now. Maybe I'll eventually have a renewed desire to adventure, but given that I've done like 10 adventures this year, that's questionable at best.
I don't see the harm in allowing XP from dailies. I don't think that Lloydcooking is asking that we get 10s of thousands in XP but alternate methods are not going to hurt anyone. I like his suggestion.
I think part of the problem is the incentive to gain levels. Till 56 you get nothing except the new searches and new army. Granite start at 60 and after salt and titanium there is nothing else till 70 with the new population bldg. After that? 75 is just bragging rights.
I only want to get to 63 to get all 3 mines. After that not sure if I even will do any adventures. Ali chain is just retarded. 30-80 camps to clear, spiral island design with hrs and hrs of walking back and forth while using only 2 MG generals and saccing your MA's. And after you waste those 2-5k of your new troops than there is a whole week of waiting to train new ones (with barracks buffed 3x cause otherwise it's not a week but a month). So while you wait you do FT's with normal troops thinking "God those are so easy compared to the new stuff".
I guess getting to 70 now will have some meaning with the new quests (daily and weekly). It will provide something to do and gives more varieties than just grinding the levels. I just don't know if I have enough life in me to get to 70... What not start the dailies at 60? Those 10 levels to get to new stuff will take a year..:(
