Is it even going to be possible to get the "click on 1000 event collectibles on your home island" achievement? Not sure that many are even going to spawn on my island by the end...
Just crossed the 1k mark.
It is possible to get the achievement with a reasonable amount of work for something that is the top tier of the group. As I posted earlier, you should be getting 25 event collectibles/spawn, as well as the 19-21 regular collectibles. There are three spawns a day, which are 8 hours apart. It will take 40 full spawns to get to 1k event collectibles. If you can get all three each day, you would be done in just over 13 days. If you can get two a day, you will be done in the 20 days of the event. If you are not getting two a day, or not finding the equivalent number of event collectibles, then you will not get the highest tier achievement.
One thing that would be nice that we had in one of the recent events, is to award event items (e.g. Soccer Balls in this case) in lieu of guild coins for the duration of the event. That was nice, providing another avenue to earn event items and stir interest with the player population.
Finally got my training field, and I guess I'll add some buildings licenses to that and be done for the event with a couple days or so to spare. The population buff is quite nice with a bunch of village schools. The weapon buff is not as impressive but nets me 660 bronze swords and 13ish platinum swords. Not too bad for 300 fishes from my level 5 fish farms that don't serve much purpose any more and a few coins worth of water. I'm sure it looks a lot more appealing if I'm running more smiths. The 1 hour less than a day cooldown is easier to work with than worrying about exactly a day, too. Anyway, I like the promise of where this is heading with future buildings/buffs.
Yes, I notice that BB has failed to respond to either of these posts. However, folks, based on the wording, and the inclusion of the, 'without compensation' clause, I believe that the meaning is clear. If they were to be 'hidden' and just not visible until the next soccer/summer event, the clause 'without compensation' would be meaningless.
As such, I suggest not over building buffs (particularly 'Red Cards' which use your Advanced Paper), not that it matters much except that it takes PH/RPH time. Hoarding the resources is probably meaningless as well, help your fellow players out who have a drought of those resources.
PS - Any BB representative: Please provide a response to this matter, clarifying it so all may be properly informed.
I'm not impressed that i can't drop the buffs on mayor to dismantle them -- seeing as i was encouraged to make this many due to the achievements (and now have a ton extra) - nor can i trade them.
If they are just stealing our excess collectibles for nothing, what's the point in continuing to drop soccer collectibles now that I've completed all of the maps? I mean I have over 300 telescopes at this point.
ditto
I made my last buff I think 3 days ago and did it just right so that I don't have any leftovers, although I have plenty of collectibles, some good and some that I'm not sure I could give away. If it's pointless, I'd like to stop wasting my time collecting. I've been acting on the basis that I'm pretty sure I'll lose everything but may as well keep going anyway.
There should be a refund on the advanced paper when they throw away these buffs... or be able to drop them on the mayors house to get the ingredients back so the collectible part disappear and get that expensive paper back
With all due respect, your event sucked. In fact, the game itself sucks a lot too.
Your company is disgustingly greedy and stingy.
I hope people thinking of spending money, decide against it.
I haven't spent in like a couple years now.
Any event with two lucky explorers is good in my book. Of course, the more specialists I get, the more I wish they would simplify the process of both sending them and collecting their loot, instead of clicking through everything one at a time.
What's happening with left over buffs that can't be used?
Hi everyone,
Thank you for providing this feedback. The information provided in this thread will be forwarded to our team. Keep sharing your impressions!

Sidenote: As informed in the Summer Soccer Event Dev Diary, unused tactical buffs will be removed from the Star Menu during the deactivation phase.
Agreed. The primary to every focus for me are the specialists. The rest is a bonus (e.g. grout and more grout).
Yes, this has been noted in prior locations throughout; I suspect the author's question (and mine in any case) is this:
What is meant by 'being removed'? (No, not being a wise guy):
- In past events, being removed meant that the event related collectibles were not actually deleted from our inventory, but rather they were filtered out so they were not visible or accessible to us during non-event related times. They would 'reappear' again during similar events (Easter collectibles show back up during Easter Events, etc.). Interestingly, the event related buffs that are generated using these same collectiles continue to show in our star menu, though they are useless during non-event periods.
- Or, are they being permanently deleted from our inventory, never again to be seen or used again in any event, including events of similar quests?
Now that the event is complete, the question really has no import, though clarification would be great. Thank you.
I still have six red cards in my star menu, will these be there for two years?
Yet again my star is full of buffs from this event.... thought bb said they were going to be removed....
Hello there!
According to the Dev Diary, the event buffs will be removed with the next game update; the next update is scheduled for next week. I hope this clarifies things for you, but you are welcome to contact me if you have other questions!
Cheers,

I think the question being asked is will the event buffs and other event resources become "invisible" then come back to star menu with the next soccer event as they have historically done in the past. Or, will all soccer event related items disappear forever from star menu and not be seen again, which is a departure from what we're accustomed to. To me this is what's not made clear from any source and not being answered.
Like several people above noted, this is a "circular definition":
A different word would help clarify what will happen to both the buffs and the event collectibles.Quote:

Hi guys!
Due to the confusion regarding this, please take note that tactical buffs will be removed (to remove: to take (something) away from a place, to cause (something) to no longer exist).
Thank you!

Are you saying this after communicating with the development team? Most of us here actually understand English perfectly well.
This above is confusing because a lot of players are familiar with English.
If I remove a stain from my shirt I destroy the stain (cause it to no longer exist), if I remove a misbehaving child from the room I do not destroy the child (they can come back later.) Context usually helps (stain vs child) but in the case of a few lines in a Diary combined with the history of how event items are handled there is plenty of room left for questions.
It's also well known that changelogs and Dev Diaries aren't always perfectly accurate in their use of English, and sometimes the information in them isn't perfectly accurate. Players know this and that's why questions are asked.
Is the language accurate? Is it certain the information is correct? Confirming the info, for both buffs and collectibles, and rephrasing to clear up any confusion is more effective than repeating the same phrase or term over and over.
That reminds me of a great horoscope from The Onion.
"You'll soon discover that the hardest thing for a parent is to lose a child, as not only are there many authority figures who will try extremely hard to return them, the little bastards are quite resourceful on their own."
It just seems to me that you guys are very stingy and greedy.
Would it kill you to be a little generous?
