Im going with 36, as some are questionable like the one with the blue sprite.

I remember a while back that there was a post about he building spots that showed layer 3, the decoration layer, is what they are using for the collectibles and thats why they show up on top of buildings and behind rocks. If you could collect enough decorations you could corral them into a specific location.
