Okay, so I found it odd that there wasn't any chat, over last 3 hrs, in any tab. I decided to refresh and low and behold 15 lines of new chat in all tabs, please explain that. Chat didn't freeze or reset it just stopped for me.

Happened to me for the longest time, usually just guild chat stops, so I started to periodically place a random letter in chat to see if I get feedback, most often than not I would get a [Text undefined] reply and then I'd refresh.Quote:

I say for the longest time and speak past tense, it kind of sort of stopped being really bad about a week ago (definitely before this chat update) and hasn't happened in a couple of days, but I'm expecting it's just recharging to grind my gears again in due time.
I have had that text undefined thing happen after every post, a few times before, this wasn't the same thing.
It kind of is. Oddly enough, the chat has like a dozen different stand-alone problems.
Any of the following would happen to my chat...
Help/Trade (Excluding global since I'm in 5 and nothing ever happens there to report on). Usually I would notice my chat is down due to trade not moving, even during the most remote hours someone would post something, so at times after being afk and stuff I'd see something like a 6 hour gap of anything, at which time I can post in trade and get it displayed without [Undefined text] but I also don't get any replies, hinting that the chat went whack.
For Guild chat I most always get the [Undefined text] if it's broken. Often times guild chat has that issue, but the other tabs are behaving just fine, so one error doesn't exclude the other.
I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause of that whatsoever. My internet is anything from very bery unreliable to solid connect, I could get the [Undefined text] just a minute after having refreshed and otherwise it may work for hours on end without issue.
Long story short, this chat is horrendous in many ways and has remained that way since it got changed. Best addition to it was indeed the 15 last posts, now I can finally troll my guildies while offline and can send myself a good morning message when I go to bed and read it when I wake up again lol
What really bothers me with the chat is it essentially a different server from the game, however there was some magical need to have associated the online status with the functionality of the chat, meaning if your chat breaks down, your friendlist also doesn't update as to who is one/off and if you get chat banned, everyone and their mothers is offline too for that period.
