Excelsior still freezing and taking crystals with no rewards

Excelsior is still freezing up. I thought maybe they would fix it during the last 2 maintenances.
After clicking the button, the crystal drops and then the Excelsior window freezes, with the X turning grey so you can't close it.
After refreshing the page to get out of it, the crystals are gone and there's no rewards in star or on excelsior totals.
I have deleted cookies, have latest Flash player version, etc. Several other people have same problem.
I lose 2-3 crystals a day trying to use them, with no help or reimbursement from support.
Please fix the glitch.

If you spin the excelsior and recieve crystals do not spin it again to use the new ones you got, You need to close excelsior and reopen. If you do not the game freezes and takes the gem amount for the spin thinking you dont have crystals. When you reload game gems are gone ( no confirmation it would take gems) and your crystals are gone too.
Happened to me a few times before I noticed my gems were gone.

Artillerist level 63 using Chrome

This finally happened to me today. In my case:

after clicking the button, there was no sound & no crystals dropped into the oven.
the X in the upper right corner greyed out
after about 30 seconds the counter showed one crystal gone, the X came back from grey and there was no reward given.
Tried again and it happened a second time.
After refreshing it worked as usual.

Refreshing a Flash based game is an acceptable workaround (not particularly desirable, however); the million dollar question here is, did you get back the crystals (2?) from the initial failed attempts? (assuming you keep track of crystal counts at all times)

Nope did not get back the lost crystals. Count went from 6 to 5, then 5 to 4 with no reward given. After refreshing they were still at 4. You know me..... I keep track of everything!

No I did not get the crystals back either and support has not answered the ticket I wrote a few days ago and Mods I talked to in chat did nothing also.

The difference in my case was the lost Gems. So people should watch gem amount you have before and after using crystals

Same here, though this only occurs if I click on the Excelsior, leave and then re-enter the Excelsior to process crystals without restarting the game first. Perhaps this will help the devs figure out what might be the piece of code triggering it for at least some of us.
