Intermittent bug with expedition dog fights

When going up against war dogs, occasionally the map will hang up in a loop, till you exit the map and then come back to it. You know immediately when this happens, as the troop display will disappear, and will look like this:

The more different troops there are in the enemy camp the more likely this is to occur.

Occasionally the loop will resolve, skipping combats (or they're taking place, you just can't see them, not really sure), usually with disastrous consequences to your expedition.

2016-11-24 The past few times this bug has hit you can no longer just exit the map by returning to your main island, which will hang up in the map change splash screen. You now have to close the game down and restart.

Yeah, I try to avoid the dogs whenever possible because of this potential bug. If I attack them, I will usually attack with whatever troop would wipe out the non-dog enemies just in case. That way, I won't have to switch if possible. Occasionally, they'll be with 2 different types of troops though. All you can do is hope for the best.

I think it may also relate to how many battles you have going simultaneously too.

Kind of weird that the only viable colony defense is to have lots of war dog camps and hope the bug wipes out the opposing army.
