Looking at the limited section / question #1, I would hope players are smart enough to pick the Savage Scout (Explorer). Unlike the other two choices, there are no other ways to increase your count of explorers. They cannot be traded. With the current trend of having event currency brought in by explorers, the benefit of each scout at event time is an incremental benefit.
For example, the upcoming Christmas Event gives 16 (80%) or 28 (20%) gifts on a very long treasure search. If a player is unlucky but able to send out each of the 21 days, they will get a minimum of 336 presents from that single explorer alone. In comparison, grout will cost 200 presents for 200 grout, so that is the equivalent of 336 units of grout. The same guild coins spent on the grout would give 328 units of grout ([3000 gc/1825 gc]*200), meaning you would have still gotten a bit more grout buying the Savage Scout for the first event; and you would still have the explorer to do searches for the following events.
For the Improved Watermill - Christmas cost 595 presents. Guild coin cost 3,500 coins. Using same low number for the event return, the explorer is worth 336 presents, so the increased cost for the watermill yields 392 presents. Not quite enough to replace the value with a single event at minimum return, so it would take two events to make the Savage Scout a better value.
Agreed, the Savage Scout is the obvious best option.
Savage scout is a no brainer.
I didn't completely ignore section 2 but see only a couple of possibly okay selections mixed in with mostly horribly overpriced choices. If anyone wants to buy SE, I will sell it to you at a discount price of 1000 guild coins.
First Section: Agreed Scouts the only real option hands down.
Second Section: Nothing grabs my attention at all, would like to see Improved Watermills or Other improved building with an option to buy 3.
Normal Adventures I don't see a point in. Follow-up and rare adventures I do.
Frozen Manors for all players who joined after that Christmas box event, would also be a very welcome addition (unlimited amount ;)
YES(!) on the Savage Scout, excellent offering there. If it doesn't win there's no hope for mankind.
Biggest no brainer vote ever: Savage Scout.
Then Medipack for the second. Also I gave a token vote for Grain Conflict due to extreme rarity of scenarios.
Someone on the selection team had a brain dead moment. Everyone who has played this game for any length of time has a stockpile of 'Secluded Experiments' that they can't even give away. The BB's must be smoking something if they think anyone would pay 1 guild coin, let alone 1250.
grout and se, got it =)
We failed to pick the one general last time, why would anyone think we be smart enough to pick the explorer this time?
With stack blocking, I wish I had about 50 generals...
Anyway, I voted for the explorer and the nothing.
Yeah, still cannot believe we let that general get away from us last time... bad.
Underwhelming choices, as usual.
Everything priced way too high.
Do the people who think this stuff up have ANY idea what goes on in the game?
Scout is the clear choice with the medipack being a distant second.
These two pretty much sum up my reaction as well. Posting my thoughts on the slim hope that someone at BB actually cares about the player feeback. We keep getting told that our feedback is important, and then stuff like this happens. Again...
savage scout hands down, then medipack added a couple other low price things for newer guild members to get.
Really wish you would get reasonable on your prices.
So here's a thought:
Why not put ALL THAT STUFF in the guild market and let us vote with our guild coins? Why, exactly, do you show us a set of choices and then allow us to only have some of them?
The reason so many of us have too many guild coins piling up is that decent choices don't seem to make it to the actual market. This horrible set of choices being repeatedly inflicted upon us is creating an oversupply of guild coins, which should be inherently valuable because of the limited means of 'production'. The guild market concept is failing on the 'resource sink' side of the economy.
Basing the market on the answers provided by a bunch of ninnies (i.e. people who vote differently than I do) who always seem to get the dumbest possible answer to the top of the poll doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Most of the time after the guild market results come out, I spend about a week going around looking for who I should hit in the head with a tackhammer.
Why not just put the things in the market and allow us to actually choose? Eliminate the poll, put all the stuff from 'the list' in the market and let players vote with their guild coins on what they believe to be the good stuff.
The main problem with the guild market vote is that players at different levels will have different needs. I couldn't care less about another general or explorer, I got plenty enough at this stage, but I understand that lower level players and those who don't spend gems really need those. So complaining that others vote for things they find more helpful at their level is pointless imho. It would be much better to have a guild market vote for different levels with people having access to different items after. How a imp watermill is considered useless by several people is really surprising, I know enough players who still keep up their water supply with wells and would love to have that one.
Its not that Imp Watermills are considered useless, its just they are easily obtainable on the TO, which you could use your guild coins to trade for an Imp Watermill right now on TO... I dont understand players that have been here for longer than 1 year and would still vote for a tradeable item over a limited (only obtainable via gems) item, is ridiculous. More explorers= more "free" event items during event times and more "free" rainbow buffs etc...
For real Evil lol, The majority of the past Guild Market Vote Outcome really just feels like one big troll.
I want another explorer at least for events, although I'm starting to question whether all the clicking is worth the effort on a regular basis. I don't see the other two as in the same league because they are so easy to come by. I could imagine someone very early in the game, though, not getting that and being as tired of wells and copper mines and wheatfields as I was.
When does the new guild market get released?
