Problem with the "Missing Tools" quest

the first two steps of the quest are to open the shop and purchase tools then to put tools into mayors house. when I purchase the tools I receive a message that the transaction was successful. I then open the star menu click on the tools but when I click on the mayors house the tools do not appear in my storage and my gems reset as if the transaction never occurred. I have cleared my cache and cookies for the last month and the problem still exists. any advice?

logged on today and three tries later it worked. I guess problem solved. RC
