Looks like all the good exciting stuff you haven't put into the event?!
My initial impression is major disappointment but I will hold judgement for a few hours at least.
i'm sorry, but i'm out of the game until this event ends.
I simply can't see things on my island or adv map.
I could fix the island using a winter paint, but nothing to be done to adv map.

i dont care now about the event, just give me the regular colours back... what colour blind person was able to impose this stupidity on us in the name of an exciting event?

wow, this is terrible, best event ever, no lead up but that!!! And then this, extremely disappointed.....buffs to change animals to knights???? gems for that????Besides, you already did that for the event......No event currency, nothing for the explorers to do...No generals to get or even buy, how is this even an event? And what is the drop rate for the black box? Spend 200 gems and get buffs that are only 60 gems?? Hope its a better drop rate than the adventures?

Sorry, BB -- Terrible event. Not fun, and really not very funny, either. Spend resources in order to change back to "regular" colors so that the player can see things? Not exactly a brilliantly-planned Event, I would say...

This is not an event. Nothing in the Quest book. Just throw away some gems.
Im curious though, the black monday coin, is basically a 1 day premium coin, but will it transform into that when the "event" ends? or will it just go poof?
if the event was supposed to start april first, is this an attempt at an april fools joke? if so, kudos to BB... lol.
I would have rather waited a month and seen the Stuff that wasn't added in the event... BB you really blew it on this one...

I can't even see well enough to find my gens to do an adventure, and as far as I can see, there is nothing to actually do for this event. So basically they just made the game unplayable for several days. Well done...
i'm sorry the event is... turning my island in to black and white and making everything impossible to see???? glad i'm on vacation. ya'll need to go back to the drawing board.. bring your coloured pencils.

and 1 more think .. event with tokens ... and no tokens to earn ... where is the event ?
this is not funny. This is rubbish. I used to buy gems, and now I got trolled by the devs. meh. is this how BB spend our money? Do they realize that the comments are very negative? They could have recycled some previous content or just do nothing and wish happy summer holidays to all. Instead, BB will have to apologize.
Clearly Ubisoft has not been happy with the speed that this game has been tanking, and they've decided to accelerate it
as i recall in earlier stages of the "thesettlersonline" u guys used to start beta testers servers b4 u applied any new modifications to the main server ... so .. u get a couple of ppl to join on beta servers and start testing .. what was happening with that ??? not all of us are guinea pigs to test on us some sh***y events or other modifications on the server ... use those beta servers ...call the ppl on them and reward the ppl who join them.. and u will get lots of feedback .. and everybody will be happy ... but NOT LIKE THIS ! (this BK event)
sorry your surprise didn't work out, I sort of liked it, just could not figure out how to get tokens that are not available.
would have really liked to have seen the stuff you all left out. Been asking and suggesting building harbors and ships and sailing to other islands from the first. If you thought of it there is still hope it will happen some time.

As someone who logs in at 0600 Pacific, I was appalled when you suggested completing the event by 0930 Eastern to get the bonus. <s> Thanks for the 21 minute event. </s>, Having just logged on, I'm now sad it didn't end 21 minutes sooner so I could drop my morning buffs without wanting to tear out my eyeballs. Almost as disappointing as when BB tried to be WalMart and roll out the rollbacks.
since there were problems with the event back in April, maybe it should have been postponed until next April.
April Fools well played on April 1st, not so much on July 24th nice try BB better luck next April!
We will most certainly rework the mini event for future use.

To me, the only real complaint is that the event description was either misleading or deceptive where it stated:
I only ran 2 BK ls, but none had any 'bonus' reward, and the other players reported no bonus either. From brief global conversations, it appears nobody saw any bonus rewards.Quote:

My guess is, since they shut it down so quickly, (combined with nothing showing up in loot, etc) nothing was working like they expected.
Someone reported getting a bone church from BK but the event wasn't on long enough for me to run more than one adventure.
i got a wt first bk i did others got mines and bone churches plus drop rate was increased .... event was fine it was the stupid colour scheme that ruined itQuote:

Phew - glad that 'event' bit the dust. Shades of Grey are totally overrated.
My main issue was with the grayness. It gave me eye strain. While trying to do Black Knights, it took longer, as I had to search for the generals.
As for the perks, I know one person got a bone church.
It was an okay effort on the part of BB, but there could have been some editing of the merchant, for example.
I do not call the event rubbish. It may have been okay if the normal color had been left in place.
Sadly, again, the lower levels, in this case sub 42, were left out.
Being on the west coast, I didn't get a chance to see how bad it was before it was cancelled.
