Thank you, nice rewards.
Nice surprise, thanks. For once, insomnia has paid off.
The quests do not show Watch Tower.. By design? :o
Either that.. or me nuts..
Got the answer... it's there.. just have to wait a bit.. ty :)
what are the sub-quests for each range lvl's and the required materials? (that shod be a big help to know )
YaY!!! This should be fun. Am looking forward to that watch tower. Thanks BB!
Nice rewards and glad there is something new to break things up. Tyvm BB :)
Thank you. I was getting a tad bored and this is just what the doctor ordered.
Thank you, we always appreciate more population!
Nice residence, and a recycler is always welcome until the improved recyclers come out. These are a good change of pace in between seasonal events.
I take it the trade quests don't count unless you are online. Simple enough to finish anyway but was surprised that was still open.
I'm guessing the watchtower is not tradable? (And since it IS a watchtower, perhaps the new recycler could recycle old religious tracts into coal? Talk about green...)
Thank you, BB!! This is a thoroughly enjoyable surprise, nicely breaks up the long stretch and has some good rewards - looking forward to that Watchtower!

What's the fetish of BB wanting us to buff stuff with Irma Baskets? Every. Single. Time.
Not only do we need to stopbuff/wait/rebuild the building in question, we also gotta mess up our buff schedule (or do the stopbuff then) and use an inferior buff to top it off.
Now then, bravo on finally fixing the "have 5 goldmines blabla" and actually have Special/Industrial Mines count, which have been a 5 minute rant and rage during past quests. Rinse and repeat this mentality with the buffs. Right now I'm going to build an Advanced Papermill to finish the quest because I'm neither going to stop a Rainbow nor will I (have time) to wait until it's expired. Get outta here.
because irmas are free while the others are gem items
but these quests should accept either irmas, feasts or steaks, and count already running buffs...
happy to see all kinds of mines working for the other quest, and about geologists just need to run the task even if they dont find anything
Thank you for the cool quest! I'm down with the Crisis Quests. =)
Feedback:
Quest steps that require making troops should check if you already have the troops made, rather than require you to create them. (Or, you should have a quest step before that one which requires you to donate troops for some reason. So you then have the space to rebuild them for the next step. It make it less of a hassle to destroy troops for no reason except to progress in the quest line.)
Quest steps that require you to use a certain buff on a building should really just check to see if your building is buffed period and not require a specific buff. I'm sure you just want to give some kind of use for the Stop buff, but it's ridiculous that if a previous step required me to make an item that comes from the building (so I naturally buff the building with something good) that I then have to stop the better buff in order to put on some generic Irma's basket instead and lose my quality buff benefits when there could literally be days left before it runs out.
I just buff all the random buildings I don't have buffed, but I end up creating buffs that I'll never use since I already have thousands of platters/sandwiches/baskets that I don't need.
My existing units counted. This is the only reason why I have as many elites as I do. Though the specification of this quest is just to have the units, not create them.
Garbage. Total waste of time and resource. Was someone drunk when they thought it up?
Playing game only a few months. With each subquest, I'm wondering is this worth it, and can I complete it on time. I'm 39 and the range for my level is 36-45. I keep thinking this might be more fun if I was 42,43,44, or 45. What's the purpose of not knowing what the requirements are for each stage, and for each level. Is the uncertainty supposed to be fun? It's not. If I don't finish it in time, then it seems a colossal waste of time and resources, since the rewards for each stage are meager.
Thank you.
Looking at the "grand prizes", we'll get a recyler, which is a limited item, and a watchtower that has 120 population, is pretty cool looking, and is most likely only going to be available thru this one time event. For me, it's worth the resources/effort to get these 2 limited/rare items. I hope you go for it. You'll be glad you did later on in the game.
Not required, so I don't see how it could be a waste of time or resources, unless someone wishes to participate. I think it's worth it so I am going ahead. Any limited building is useful, even though I don't really need either of these, still nice to have, and along the way there are other rewards like gems.
Spoke too soon on the produce troops quest. Just got that one. I always have use for knights and mounted swordsmen, but I don't really need or want any more marksmen or elites. I guess I'll get rid of the excess elites eventually in daily quests.
I burned up some excess elite troops when I needed to actually kill the bandits in the tower. Could have done it cheaper but I had these units that needed to die and I had this tower that needed killing...
Enjoying the change of pace and the challenge of figuring out how to make each sub-quest work. Even learning a little thing or two, which is interesting. To me the rewards seem well balanced for the effort required. Thank you.
Loving the event. Great for a change of pace and pretty good rewards in the end. Excellent design, some decent challenges, and all around nice for something different. Two thumbs up for this!
Finally made it to Stage 4 and getting even more aggravated. Please forward my deepest hatred toward the genius who came up with that entire thing. I don't mind the resource sink at all, fairly in support of it actually....but this is just maddening how it's done. The cost vs reward is overall alright being objective, though I'd welcome "sinks" and not "wastes".
I love a surprise event!
That being said though:
I find it mind boggling how you keep this in mind for buffs, but at the same time give players a week to complete a chain of quests which (at my level) includes getting a specific resource from a treasure search that takes 3 days on a regular explorer!
As some have noted in different words, I hate the objectives that are literally just a long a wait with no way to speed it up (besides using gems and/or having gem(/event) items).
The previous crisis quest relied more on production and having resources, which are more easily fixed by building, buffind and trading. This event feels mostly like a stress test to determine how much gems players are willing to use. It doesn't feel like something that can be reasonable completed if you play for free and casual, the previous crisis quest was challenging but felt more achievable.
I'm not a fan of having to rush in adventures I didn't particularly want to do at the time to kill off enough troops so I would be able to recruit enough troops to finish quests. Other than that, I think this has been fine.
Can this event get extended for a few more days ... preaty please ...
Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer of watchtower enhancement pills?
It barely sticks up above the tree beside it. It's tiny.
I like the event. My only complaint is basically a crap shoot depending on explorers finding a specific resource. Other than that it is fun and, I like the rewards.
lol just arrived there, I'm glad I'm loaded and not strapped on time, my condolences for everybody affected by that. Mind you I also knew Irmas due to them being "free" aka you can make them yourself without the need to having spent gems, so far so good. Feasts can be traded for cheaply, not to mention we are talking so small quantities people would essentially give them for free as well....but I'm more "concerned" that there isn't some sort of ranking value attached to them. We can clearly determine that a Feast is superior to an Irma, so that ought to count as well, just like a Special Goldmine should be counted as a Goldmine (which it fortunately now does). A "quick fix" to this would likely be to change the description to use any buff lasting 6h or longer or implement a "buff tier system" of sorts, but that's more of a waste of time so I'll drop that here.Quote:

What would really be great to know, which is on part of us players sharing the information around (which is usually done with the wikis, but I haven't seen anything meaningful for this Crisis as of yesterday or so), but also on BB to one degree or another. Making us go on a Prolonged Search without being able to cancel our current searches can be a win or lose situation that you can only speed up with gems (which in this case is also tied to diminishing returns after having sped them up once, as the 2nd time the benefit is twice as expensive for half the gain). Throw in that according to time schedules, I'll just pick my example. Quest completes when I'm asleep, I wake up, log in to do my routine being sending out Geos/Explorers, updated my quests....and now NEED my Geos to be on a different search and no way to cancel that. Very frustrating when that happens. Autopilot routines are hard to break, especially if you are doing "everything at the same time".
If there is any high level without Savages Scouts/Luckies in decent quantities (to ensure you can get the SPECIFIC resource asked for without relying too much on luck alone), they are pretty much screwed at the very end after having wasted massive amounts of resources for pretty much nothing. In Stage completion rewards aren't quite rewarding enough for the sink.
Edit: It would also be great to know, as in confirmed working, if pre-sends are getting counted or not. No point in sending out ahead of receiving the quest of we can't be sure if it counts or not. Supposedly it works this time around, but there is always next time.
So I am at level 61 get to the final challenge which is find 50 plat ore on prolong treasure search..... 1 day 6hours to 1 day 8 hours on the savage scouts I own...luckily I own a bunch of them... but still for a player without these many explorers or playing casually and arriving at this quest on day 5 or 6.... its kind of a bad last quest.... still all and all I enjoyed the challenge..... that search was a bad game design to place at the end because it has to depend on success on RNG....not the skill of the player...
There is a thread on the .com forums about the quest chain, but I don't think it's very accurate because of the level differences.
The crisis has been engaging and I have enjoyed it, though not sure what I will do with so many extra Crossbowman as they seem never to be defeated ;-).
My only concern is that I have one step remaining, acquire 50 granite from very long treasure search, and a bit anxious that won't complete. I am deploying every one who can search as they become available, and a bit unhappy to alter their regular function. I will be upset if I don't get the 50 granite before the crisis ends. However, other than that and the excessive (valued) resources needed, have enjoyed it quite a bit.
Just finished crisis event this morning. Totally enjoyed it, tks for the surprise (I spent the first day at the hospital but had no probs catching up). Worst case scenerio folks gem complete some quest (like making troops, didn't cost many and saves time) and event gives quite a few so win win.
P.S.
I wouldn't mind seeing watch tower drop from loot in say ventures or evil queen camp. if you wanted to add that in.
Completed this event yesterday and find that I enjoyed it, and found the rewards very satisfying. Love the unique pop building! Keep it rare and not trade-able! Kudos to TSO and their dev team for this event.
