If nothing else, this is something more to do. I'm just about to hit 65 and it'll be nice to have a break from grinding PvP and Evil Queen campaigns.
This looks very interesting! I'm looking forward to it.
Level 60 would be nice to access this campaign.
Yay! Cant wait to play this in 2025!
Am really looking forward to it!!
The fortress is a very beautiful building, nice job whoever did the artwork on it. And the +500% barracks buffs we can make with it are gonna be great. I think the smokehouse is a sleeper and will end up being a very popular addition to the game. The epic forge also looks really good and the fact that it will come fully loaded with all elements at level1 makes it useful right out of the box. The Nords Res at 140 pop is pretty awesome and being able to buy the buildings for obsidian or wait for them to drop is excellent.
Overall this looks really promising. Didn't get involved with testing the actual ventures, so can't comment much on them but am looking forward to seeing how it all works. Being able to explore and map the various consequences faced in follow ups based on decisions made in prior ventures should be fun. Glad it'll be here soon!!
excited for this, also thanks for posting the full res maps, will help making the guides
anyone knows if theres any simulator with the new units already?
I was dragging my feet on Evil Queen, but I just about finished that because I wanted to get a full farmyard due to the buff quests. Nice to have something up next.
I was looking forward to the fish buff, but I can't see much use for it due to the requirement of 50 grilled steaks for Lost Puppy, at least not until I hit level 75. It would be nice if that quest could be tweaked to somehow include this as an option as well.
http://www.dsosim.de/sim.php?at=76 is the one I've used - not sure what else is out there at this point
Well, L65 is a long way away off, but it's looking like one of the better things I've seen come down the TSO pike in years. Cool sequence of useful buildings with a decent storyline. I just hope the 'chance' at the rewards is better than the early days of Excelsior.
The only real downside is the lack of incentive to grind out seven long levels to get there. O.o I'm having a hard enough time seeing much incentive past L60. Granite Mines will be nice, but the rest of it looks like a long slow boring grind.
funny
said that about mountain turning into volcano few months ago nice
But
been asking 4 more places to build i.e. tree stump removal crew or something
like that 4 years btw
if
I am lucky also
really how many of TSO players are at level 65 i think i would like to play {not in test mode] most of your everyday players the ones that pay the bills are under level 65 TSO only went to level 50 just a couple years ago. now to play the whole game more money more money ive been playing and paying for years i just want to play the whole game!
you play the game to unlock new features, thats how it works everywhere, and thats how it should be, level 65 is pretty easy to achieve, specially now with so many things that help
thanks for the sim, will have a look into that one
Looks really good. I can see a lot of thought and imagination has gone into this addition. Looking forward to being able to try it all out.
Hey BB I have a question
When you do Unknown origins as an example you choice in buffs follow you to next adventure. how is this choice saved? When I did all 5 in order like today it works fine. But I saved alot of crystals up and have more Foot of mountain ready to go. If I did say 5 foot in mountain then 5 Unknown origins ect ect like I usually do what will the buffs be? will it be as the last one I ran or will the reset to no choices when I do say my 2nd Mountain people in a row
Here's BB_Alex from test discussing what you're talking about.

my feedback so far after playing 3 of the mountain clan ventures:
the

which
the
generals
move
is
SO
painful
...and that's with 3 debuffs and obsidian shoes.
I have reached a point where I cannot find a way to defeat the Frost Fox or any of the other "Frosts". Any suggestions?
Frost Fox & Frost Eagles pretty much require MMA/cav sacs to get most of them out of the way. Sad but true.
glad you mentioned that perwyn. with ma sacs for the frost first strikers, it seems doable. I was wondering if any have taken to using knights for the sacs.
It's a work in progress for me and yes...... it's ended up that I've sac'd a ton of knights in People of the Mountain. They work best if the gen has 3 in unstoppable charge AND master planner. More bang for the buck that way. And I can use a Vet here and there and save my MMA's for other camps.
Also, it depends on the boss in leader camps if knights are gonna be effective or not. Some bosses, for example Gargantuan Lynx, absorb all the knights damage but don't die, so it's a waste of time. In that case MMA/cav works better cause they have flanking (attack weakest) and can take out the foxes and eagles. On camps without first strikers, swordsman sacs can be pretty effective also. Still figuring this stuff out, but it's fun.
