Almost done with one event and another one hitting the road. Great job BB. you guys are really working hard these days making new content at a very good pace. Keep it up!

thank you for the addition to the island, but it says new deeds, does that mean we will have to buy the deeds as we did in the archipelago ?
This is why this is the best. BBs keep it fresh. I will continue to enjoy this game..
My initial feedback is that this all looks good. I would really like to see one or more of the new archipelago islands be purchase-able with Sector deeds, though, and not all Island deeds.
...or either/both? Options would be good. At this point it doesn't matter, because I don't seem to be able to see them on my Test map. *shrug*
As to the proposed Event as a whole? I'm still on the fence, as it were. It looks like there is enough potential to get my interest up...but (you knew there was a 'but' coming) I'm going to need more information.
Looking forward to the new land area though. I think it would be cool to have a bit more every 'X' achievement until the entire original island is surrounded by new islands.
The Scouting Post has potential, but I can't tell if the bonus is only for a given span of an Adv (ie '2hrs of attacks', etc), or if it's something you turn on right at the end to get the bonus for the whole thing (ie when the Adv 'cashes out'), much like starting Premium time right before an Adv ends. I'm guessing the former, so it makes the most sense to start it just before your first attacks hit on an Adv you can finish in under 2hrs.
The Gen is interesting, but time will tell if it ends up being anything more than a fancy Sac Gen.

I'm looking at that new general as somebody that'll ease the pain if I ever decide to do a mounted marksmen sac lol. With max first aid it'll be a 39% recovery rate, not bad at all. I think he's cool looking.
As far as the cost of the new islands, if it ends up being gems I'm actually ok with it. I've spent gems on explorers, geos and generals. More building space is just as much of an asset as any of those are.
Hard to tell what's going on with the event as a whole, but I do like the building that shows up on golem island. Is it going to be buffable?
+50% and +100% buffs made in provision house from mats found as collectables or treasure search. Buff also available in merchant for gems.
Please no balloons.
Everything else seems good.
After a quick look:
New Medic Gen: Sure will have his uses but probably only as a sac gen. sent 200k at a camp came back with i think 69k... first aid skill added didnt seem to make much difference. Maybe adding a built in 1up would improve his worth abit more?
Settlers Headquaters: not really sure on use of this.. acts as a store but without storage and only 20 pop... for the size of building i would have expected a higher pop.
New buff building: Buffs look handy from what i could see. However, the building is massive! and like other new stuff is not levelable only multiple reduce cooldown. More needs to be known how the buff works with regards to xp bonus.
New islands: Space is always welcome although half the island is at the moment unusable I am guessing that will be for future deposits or something else in future. Having it only available through gems though is very disappointing! Would really like to see an option of a resource available in game such as stalks. Not all of us can throw money at the game.
New nuke (crossbow or something): works like assassin but only for a single leader.. could be very handy on some of mountain clan campaign camps i imagine, but currently cant be used along with a normal assassin which is a shame.
Balloons: Only seem to be able to make in festival building for resources, shame you cant get from adventure as well as I think this would add to the event if the drops were decent. I understand main total will be based probably on player count overall... please BB make sure you dont count inactive accounts as on Zeus sever are probably more inactive than active accounts.
Candles and dough: From treasure search and collect on home island only i think? maybe drop on adv also but didnt try. Hopefully drops are enough as it looks like you need 300 of each daily to get the 100% buff for hall.
Overall looks like a very communal event, which as long as everyone works together and not try to individually profit should be great!
Hoping the placeholders get replaced with some other awesome stuff!! Maybe level specific? Like stronghold for over 70's?! :D (can but dream).
candies and dough do drop from normal adventures as far as i have seen on the german servers there is a great post on there with loads of info ..this event should be better then the last one as far as i can remember it was server vs server so most of the less active were at a huge disadvantage this time though it seems there are two goals a personal one with rewards plus the overall global one from all worlds which it seems will be alot better.... it would be very handy for all worlds to start collecting the items you need for your lvl... or find a nice low 16 lvlish player and fill them with the much easier items like wheat and bread that they require for balloons
I remember balloons from way back in the day. Shame they took those away many years ago, so I assume everyone will have to start from scratch again.

One of the coolest things about the new building, Scouting Post, is that it was part of the artwork from a dev blog/sneak peak/something or other years ago but then we never saw it in anything that was developed. I love that it's finally coming to life.
The new islands either need to have better layouts, or cost beanstalks. As premium islands they are terrible. The space available for buildings doesn't reflect how people actually play this game, and there is little space for mag res. Please fix before event.
The expansion islands need more building spaces.
Effected buildings: Magnificent Residence, Improved Storehouse, Epic building, Fairy Tale Castle...
I would like for the Developers to explore the idea of Task Specific Expansion Islands. An island that only allows residential buildings, a Guild island that only allows a guild house and decor, production island.
On the topic of gems versus stalks to activate expansion islands, I think that using the expansion islands is an optional feature offered by BB and there should be a gem cost to expand an island. I think that whatever we can currently get with stalks should be the limit. Anything new is gems.
On the idea of "task specific" expansion islands........ an island that is reserved for generals only, no buildings except 1 storehouse, has at least 30 general slots, and all generals will default to land there if the island exists. I'd definitely pay gems for that.
Given the push by the developers for larger buildings that are hard to fit in and the newly introduced mechanic of needing to have multiple copies of the new buildings for them to be truly useful, I respectfully disagree. I would prefer a mix; it would add in new quests and tasks to do (gems cost money or time, but outside of that, they are "easy"). But that said, perhaps the gem-only islands could be the bigger/better ones.
Everything in this game is optional, by definition.
My first thought was that players could buy the island(s) outright using Gems. I don't like the idea of using the word Quest because some players may think that they have to complete the quest as part of their experience points needed to Level up. If you are using the word Quest broadly, Scenarios could be a good method, or an Adventure that players could buy in the shop for a small amount of Gems. The basic idea is to make it clear that the islands are optional. The bigger idea is to slowly separate some games services to only be available to Premium Players.
I think that for this to be an initial smashing success the Developer's should use player Perwyn's super awesome suggestion of an expansion island with the specific task of housing and landing Generals.
An important detail is near-instant gratification, I think that a Scenario or Adventure to unlock the island so it can be purchased should be short, like The Royal Wedding, Panda, Collecting Easter eggs. After a player has claimed an expansion island they could then begin to get quest in their quest book either related to the expansion island or to enhance the island in some fashion.
Clarify: by the term expansion island I am talking about islands similar to the ones being added. Each island would be surrounded by water and adjacent to a players main island and hidden by clouds, a new sector number would be assigned to it.
The idea looks awesome BUT - you guys aren't serious about another balloon event after the one we had few years back was such a flop??
more land is nice, but all for gems forget, 14k gems for a few bits of land isnt worth it
the anniversary event has me worried with the balloon donation again, thought that idea was buried for good, didnt work the first time and doesnt seem to work the second
Frustrated with yet... another Buff producing Building. Honestly, I see people complaining already that its getting old (already).
More land sounds great. But having to Buy each of the 4 lands @ 3495 gems EACH is more than a little daunting. Few players have the gems or will want to buy them for this. Is this an anniversary event to celebrate Settlers and those of that have been playing for many YEARS, or is it designed exclusively as a means to increase revenue for BB? I hope it doesn't turn out to be the second one. I would be highly disapointed.
Land is great. Would it be possible for another free moving day? It's been awhile since we had that even with the additional land last time.
