I have another issue to report... I bought 4 island deeds for 4 new islands.. You can tell, because I can't buy more and they are locked in shop..
I explored all 4 islands, and used 4 deeds on them.. 3 of them unlocked, but one of them still hasn't :(
So I spent gems for 1 deed for nothing..
and I can't even buy more, even if I wanted to, because I've reached the limit..
So I've lost my gems/deed and now have a useless island.. which I will never be able to use..
@BB.. way to go..
Why did I even come back to checkout the update.. and waste remaining gems I had.. :(
BTW.. I tried refreshing and restarting the game.. nothing seems to help..
Apparently the limit for titanium depos is working correctly. All of my titanium deposits on the archipelago are active and I picked up a depo on the north island.
Can't get salt peter depos on the north island cause all the arch ones are active and my granite masons are 1 deposit short on the archipelago since 1 "new" deposit showed up on the north island.
Considering the bugs other people are encountering I count myself lucky to only have to deal with these messed up deposit limits. Hopefully all will be fixed soon. If there's not a hot fix, it just ain't BB.
Of the 8 granite depos I have now, only 5 are working. The one that was added in new island shuts down 2/3 others. BB has some fixing to do.
We’ve recently found out a cause for Island or Sector deeds not working properly. Until we can implement a fix, an easy work-around is available:
Please do not apply an Island or a Sector Deed as long as any Explorer is on a search for far away sectors.
This should avoid the deed being ineffective.
We will update the game as soon as possible to deal with this unwanted behaviour.

No, it's not the same at all. if this pit is not found, the travel time to a depo is 5 minutes instead 20 seconds:

Also the north one is useless if the depo is not found, because it doesn't cross to the nearest one. I don't like to build things for "if/random". The islands are tiny enough.
BB_Odhran, I realize people losing deeds is a top priority, but could you please let us know what's going on with the new deposit problems we're all having.
Yeah, and I think I'm going to put my expansion plans on hold until BB sorts their ship out.
So far:
Generals (with Troops) going missing for hours/days during transit too/from Adventures.
Deeds for new Sectors disappearing.
Deposit limits not adding up.
We'll wait.
I'm cool with supporting the game through purchases (and have done so), but this is feeling like a whole lot of investment for a frustrating return. :shifty:
About 3 hours after my geos finished looking for granite depos I am back to 7 depos working. Not sure who did what. We will see what the next searches find and when.
when i click on your image i get a threat blocked from my antivirus. maybe dont put the pictures on a shady host.
in other news i send out explorers and every time they report: System: Your explorer has successfully mapped a new sector. but no clouds are removed anywhere.
I 2nd fixing granite depos. My geo found the new one.. which means now one the the arch with decent mason is sitting exhausted. The # of depos allowed at once needs to be increased. for all 3 - gran, titanium, and sp... considering the cost in gems we were required to pay.

There is a new update in the Dev Diary located here. This should help answer some questions about the deposits.
-BB_Odhran
Thank you BB_Odhran for answering our questions about new deposits.
However, it is exactly backwards and completely stinks. In the case of mines, having to build them in random locations is no big deal since mines are a temporary structure, unless we work to make it not be so. And just so you know, salt peter did not increase by 1, only titanium has.
Granite deposits require us to build masons, permanent masons, which means every day a random mason now has no deposit to mine. We shouldn't have to try and figure out a workaround to this problem you guys have created for us. The stated reason for limiting granite appears to be based solely on the mathematics involved without giving any consideration to the mechanics involved and the impact on gameplay due to those mechanics.
As far as the math involved..... MCC increases our usage of granite by 50,000 per run (required usage) to 100,000 per run (including optional quests) so why should deposits not increase? Titanium usage goes up by 1,000 titanium bars, salt peter by 1,250 and 1,250 gunpowder. They get increased, yet granite does not is exactly backwards of what should have happened.
This. This is exactly the reason why all the deposits should have been increased. The decision to do this was made before the new island were released. BUT the way it is written originally in the Sneak Peek and the Dev Diary does not indicate what the original intent was. To quote Captain Hook, "Bad form!" Again, as I have stated previously, I would not have bought the island with the granite and saltpeter mine because now, it hurts my economy production. As Perwyn said, I now have to build a new granite mason on the island and the granite mason which was close to one of the other granite deposits now has to walk further to find a granite deposit, thus decreasing my production. The explanation that was added to the Dev Diary after the release SHOULD have been there to begin with. The devs already knew how it worked. The only people who didn't were those who purchased the island deeds.
I thought exactly what Perwyn did. My granite masons are where they are for a reason and can't be moved (without a cost of 3000 marble and 2500 coins). I have established expectations of where they are going to mine and how long the deposits are going to last. It would put a cog in the machine if I were to find granite deposits in random locations and thus had masons without a deposit to mine or at best competing with other masons for resources. If anything, this is a step backward. No new deposits would be better than the same amount of deposits randomly located. I can't say I really need new granite deposits, so it's not unreasonable to suggest that none are needed because there is enough granite already, but I don't want the old ones messed with.
I searched for tita.. had it indeed increased by one.. it would have found it.. but geo did not.
Agree with perwyn - if i have to waste a bl to build another mason to use the granite that 'might' be found - its not worth it. And as they said - a random OTHER mason (which is buffed) will not pull any granite.
Also, my salt and tita mines are permanent structures - so i'm not tearing those down either.

Glad I only bought the new desert isles. Wont be buying the top ones at all at this point; don't need my granite production messed up like that, and they have less space to start with.
Bad design decision. Just admit it and fix it. Until then, we'll warn people away from buying them.
hmm idk.. i'll send again b4 i log off but .. this is what i got

Check out this map.

The blue squares are 500 tita depos, (the 300 tita depos aren't marked here). Looking at the blue squares on the original archipelago, there are 3, however only 2 of the 3 500 depos are available at a time. In other words the blue square in the center and at the bottom randomly rotate and won't have a node at the same time. The one at the top stays constant.
Is it possible that somehow you got mines built on all 3 blue squares and since they're permanent that is stopping you from getting the new depo? Since I only ever have 2 of the 3 blue squares built at a time, getting the one on the new island works for me. Salt peter does not.
Hmmmmm..... Imma try an experiment with salt and see what happens. Will post my results later. This is definitely one case where BB's lack of documentation bites everyone on the (pick you favorite).
Is there not a titan depo on the far left expansion island.
Yes there is. That's the one I've picked up. Salt peter however, still doesn't give an extra deposit like it should.
Ok turns out the tita did appear - its just really really hidden behind those white castles (no special books laurel leaves to make it stand out lol)..
thanks folks

See Deposit Maps Here: [ http://settlersonlinewiki.eu/en/island/deposits/ ]
All of the New Island Deposits (A-13 and A-14) are 500 quantity Deposits so only the Original Island Deposits with 500 quantity for Granite and Titanium are effected by the 3/4 Cap. The 300 Deposit quantity locations for Granite and Titanium are not effected and have their own separate 3/4 Cap...
All six of the Saltpeter Deposit locations (300 and 500 Deposit quantity locations) are under the 4/6 Cap...

"DD Island Expansion update
Dear Settlers,
We'd like to shed some light on the deposits that were just made available along with the new islands:
Each deposit type is split into several deposit groups, containing different amounts of deposits with different sizes. Each deposit group contains deposits of one type and with one specific size. Each group also has a certain amount of deposits and a maximum number of active deposits at the same time. The number of active deposits can be lower than the overall amount of deposits in the group. In this case, not every deposit in the group can be found actively. Which of the existing deposits are picked is defined randomly." -- BB_Odhran
I wish the deposits had been copper not salt or ***.
"There are no deposit limitations for Titanium, Granite and Saltpeter on the archipelago anymore." -- BB

Anyone have a building available placement guide for the new sectors?
Someone had made one, but lost the link when my computer died and lost all my recent bookmarks.
So, to sum up. The new Islands ARE expensive... while BB keeps putting out new Buildings... and some of them you would want multiples to be effective, like the Laboratory. In addition (ive bought a couple of the new Islands) and Im disappointed bye the lack of usable space. One one think that if your going to have an island I can ONLY buy, that you would at least allow me to use all the land mass. I have about 20% that I cant even place decorations on... much less useful buildings. Id really like a response from BB. We as players and hash and rehash what we think and our opinions... which while it may help us to feel validated... doesnt change anything
