Just logged in and saw 2 of my trees have gift icons on it. Must be sharing the same cooldown as my first tree.
I clicked on one tree and NOTHING happened other than a bomb this tree popped up. I didn't click anywhere waiting for the surprise box to show up. waited and waited. NOTHING. The icons on BOTH trees disappeared.
2 problems/bugs here.
1. I thought we can click on each tree for 2 separate gift boxes.
2. NO gift boxes appeared for ANY of the trees.
1. Not two separate boxes. They share a timer and when you click any of them once ready the gift box will pop-up (after you dismiss the annoying UI move or bomb window) and you will get 1 gift per tree that you have from that gift box. So one tree will give only one reward. Two trees and the box will give you two and so on. Then the timer resets for another week, and the icons for all trees disappear.
2. That part actually is a glitch. It is that same annoying 'lag'/hiccup/freeze nonsense that messes up everything else (buffing, posting a trade, completing a quest...) so you you don't get to see what you got. Though you should have got something. (The action works fine on the server, just not on your UI, and when the game resyncs whatever you got is already in star and you will never get to know what it was unless you have a good memory of what you had or something is now there completely out of place)

Feedback: As anybody knows "LOOT drops" or "Mystery Boxes" is exciting when you see it open and you see what you get.
Not seeing what you get feels like you just got cheated or it was broken leaving players feeling bad. A negative gaming is experience.
It has been suggested before (either her or in test I don't recall) but having the treasure box send your goodies to a loot mail letter after it shows you, rather than having it go straight to star would fix this problem. Then even if you don't get to see directly what you received, you will still see it in the generated letter where you actually claim your prizes.
I will make this suggestion to the team. They are also working to get a fix for this issue out as soon as possible.Quote:

Yup. Just happened to me again. 2 gift boxes appearing on the 2 trees. Clicking one. both icons disappeared from the trees. a popup bomb window and NOTHING happens. no indication in log system tab. I can't tell what I got. Since my rarity is producing books, I can't tell if I got a book or not. which is probably the only decent thing that the tree could give.
This is the worst gaming experience ever to pay for a tree or selecting the tree as the prize option and seeing NOTHING happen.
More players should complain about this. It's the only way they listen to feedback. Otherwise its on to the next event development ignoring a half-arse xmas gift tree idea.

Agree it is not fair to pay for tree and have NOTHING happen when clicked upon.

Happened to me also today. Both trees had a "gift ready for pickup" icon. I clicked and got the option to tear the tree down. Clicked on tree a second time after a few seconds, but by that time the very laggy gift window opened and closed right away because I clicked on the tree a second time. No feedback in logs (news tab) either that anything was added to my inventory. As far as I am concerned, I got nothing and now have to wait another week. Ugh.
I would also prefer an email with the gifts once I clicked on the tree.
I haven't had a problem with the gift tree yet. Others in guild haven't either, both those with one or two trees.
The floating gift box icon appears, and I click it. Then the destruction box with the bomb in it appears in the lower right, and then the gift window with the hourglass appears. Sometimes it takes longer than expected, but it has worked every time. I don't click anything else while the process is active either.
My trees had a pickup time yesterday, and I got the perpetually-spinning hourglass. I have not the slightest idea what I got. The server "glitch" where things get reset is also very annoying. This should be the devs' new years' resolution.
I have the same issue, I have 2 trees, they have gift icons, I click them, all I get is the window to take them down. I have never gotten any gift from either of them, so far every time they have the gift icon it's done this. They don't work, they don't give anything, they were a rip off.
I have one tree that has yet to give me a (visible?) gift. I feel so cheated by this thing. Today, it happened again. Clicked the gift and got a bomb.
Now I have the joy and anticipation of feeling cheated again next week
If I'd paid gems for it, I would demand a refund.
I have two giving trees. Only one tree drops loot while the other tree keeps spinning. ( the animation for the present )
Not sure if having two tree's makes the giving tree go bonkers ?
I this getting addressed? Mine was also just spinning forever, nothing happening and just keeps spinning. I finally just closed it, this is happening every week and it is not clear to me if I even get anything
I pulled my 2 trees down and replaced them hoping it would fix this, but nope, I get nothing from the trees, BB is ignoring us because they don't know what customer service is, they will never ever get a cent from me.
Ripped off again today. Been what? Five or six weeks now? Thanks for staying on top of it BB. /sarc.

So, for me, this is a negative gaming experience. Just another log on the fire.... Think there is a song to that effect.
Pine planks might have a use soon. ;)

My gift tree is still broken. When the count down goes down, quest is gone from the quest book and nothing appears on the tree. If I'm lucky enough to log in the next day (thats whole different issue I have started the thread for) I get present on the tree. So instead of 7 days, i get present every 8 days. Not fair!!!
Oh and I sent in 2 tickets, still having issues with my tree.....
Yea since the point of the quest is to remind players it should keep flashing every five minutes quest complete like every other quest instead of dissapearing.
