Latency Issue Since 13.02.2019

Last annotated status is always the current and continuing status, even if do not give each hour individual feedback.

Currently, the delays have our highest attention and we continue to work on a solution.

I'm more then happy if you cancel Valentine Event (or postpone it until whatever) and fix this terrible lag which make the game unplayable for some players.

If it is of any help, the lag seems much more noticable on my windows desktop. I also have a Mac laptop which is not showing as much lag.

Latency issue? I can't even load the game. It loads and in the end says "connection lost, restart client" and I run in circles :(

The lag is pronounced when you select a mine to be placed. It hangs for about 5-10 seconds. But it increases during a time of more load like Saturday or Sunday Afternoon. Monday i did not see it nearly as bad. As for the rest of the game. seems kinda ok. its a bit slow but not overly. a little sluggish. But the lag that happens when a message is broadcast by the avatar is the real badun. It will stop the game for about 10+ seconds. Complete freeze. But it mostly recovers. If it gets really bad, i rrefresh and the lag does not disappear but it does not stay hung. i hope this helps.

Sorry did not include this with above. The test server does not have the mine issue. When yo select a mine you are ready to drop within a second on the test server. on the regular Ares server that takes about 5 seconds to register. So if that is an indication of the lag issue, then the test server is workng correctly.

may be i have been lucky, but i have not been much afflicted with the dreaded lag. i do notice that i don't have as many buildings on my island as most at my lvl. perhaps that is a clue for the devs.

No lag in game , thats noticeable or affects game play. Playing on a custom PC , use Win 10 , playing in USA

I have the building issue AND terrible lag when transferring generals. It gets worse the longer I play. The problem occurs when placing ANY building, not just mines.

Our Windows 8.1 PC doesn't seem to have been affected at all, but our Windows 7 Home Premium pc's are hanging for up to 2 minutes when attempting to place even wheat fields or wells. All cache has been cleaned, cookies deleted,, no affect on the issue ,, still hangs!!!.

A bit slow for me. Nothing of particular concern. I was having slowness when building buildings.

I have experienced this lag on adventure maps with long shot army attacks and camp transfers with long walking other than building new mines or any type of building even a flower deco etc. on island.

I had to empty cache 4 times while running Besieged City...
Oddly enough, the game was quite ok while running MCC (or i am so used in seeing generals crawling there that i didn't notice the difference lol)

A temporarily solution... try resetting your router, someone posted about it on eu forum. Unplug it for 15-20 min, it may work.

Everyone that is having the latency issue, could you please try the Test Server. Let me know if you still have the same issue on there.

The game won't load this morning. Been trying for about 1/2 hour now. Front page comes up, but the page with the settler holding the large hammer gets to the 1/2 way point and just sits their. I'll keep trying.

I played on the test server for about 30 minutes without any building problems, EXCEPT it won't let me build a new wheat field over an exhausted wheat field, or a well over an exhausted well. Even if I remove the exhausted deposits, I still cannot build the new one in the same spot.

Update: 02.19.2019
A game hotfix will take place February 19th-20th, from approx. 24:00/12pm ET until 06:00 ET. This hotfix is to address latency issues. The Valentine Event should be started sometime this week, if the game is more stable after this hotfix.

That happens to me every time I login and has been happening for at least 3 weeks now, if not longer. When the hammer guy comes up, sometimes I'll go fix a coffee or tend to the fire cause it can take anywhere from 2, on up to 4 minutes to get past that page.

I was able to finally login (without going through pain of contacting support)..
Thanks for the suggestion though..

Ive been playing today, Tues afternoon and it appears normal. no latency on selecting yards to be build. Oulla, which is french for . And then i found out......

Please cancel the event :(( and please just make the game work.......... no need for new things... So tired of new stuff that makes game life miserable . Peace

I wasn't having many issues until last night when it was pretty bad, but seems back to normal for me as well.

I still can't log in. What about the event tomorrow? I have not bean able to for a while now. What about the event tomorrow? Now I will miss it.

ONCE AGAIN you start maint without even 12 hr notice.. ONCE again my market is going to run out and start all that stuff Unbuffed while you complete your unannounced maint. This is getting completely unacceptable. What is the point of having a market if we cannot log in to restart it etc??? my stuff is going to run unbuffed for a min of 4 hours .. not to mention .. all the explorers coming back and unable to be resent before an EVENT THAT USES explorers.

All timed based on when i know i log into the game every morning... cept the mornings you decide that we need to do maint... again...

I say again - along with all the rest... skip the event - get the game working for once and for all -- its more important.

You're absolutely right. It's not only markets, quests, mines - it is our time that we spend waiting that the developers get it right. I am an old fan of Settlers (since Disk version 1) and was hoping to find some similiar fun in this online game. More and more this hope seems to be disappointed.
I want to play when I have time for it - not when the developers think I should!
And if Ubisoft is not able to get this game running correctly, then they possibly have two choices:
1) they pay more to the developers (or hire more or better ones)
2) they resign from beeing a game publisher.
It is a public relations desaster for the whole Ubisoft company.
