Gens taking over an hour after Canceling Co-Op

Several of us got stuck in a Co-Op and we canceled it because the 1 guy went awol. Upon cancelling, we return to home island to start another Co-Op (this is for the VD event) and we are greeted with the displeasure of seeing our generals taking an hour and half to return home.
For me it was just an MMA (tho, i only have 3 of them, I have anslem or 270 to take up the slack), and Varg for others.

This isn't right. What's wrong here? The general shouldn't be taking 1.5hrs to return. Even if they were supposed to take the unbooked amount of time, that's only 30 minutes! Only the transporters (Claus, etc) take 1.5hrs to return

P.S. I have no idea why the image is being shrunk so far. It's about 400x400 but yet the image after upload gets shrunken down.
