Grey screen instead of loading game

Normally, I would get the page with news and the round blue "Play Now" button that would start loading the game. Now I just get a grey screen, the game doesn't even load. No error messages.

I play via Kongregate, which means I don't have a username and password to use on the regular login page, so I can't try that.

Sometimes it randomly (?) decides to work, but lately it hasn't. This never happened before the Valentine event, oddly.

It's not my browser or Flash or something, I checked with a different browser, and Flash works just fine (Firefox, Chromium).

Could you please show a screenshot of what you get when attempting to play the game.

Maybe if you eliminate the Kongregate middleman you'll be able to play again.

It just randomly decided to work again. No change on my part, I didn't even restart my browser since I last tried and I got the grey screen. This does not mean the issue is resolved, since this happened before, and it broke again. I call it randomly, because I have no way to predict whether or not it will work.

If you're building up your island and progressing in the game you're being logged in somehow. Maybe tech support can help you with figuring that out. Is Jernau_Gurgeh your game name? If so, that's also your username, isn't it?

I have been having the same issues... getting grey screen from Kongregate recently, lasts for up to 48hours, on multiple browsers, then works again for no apparent reason.

I tried the settlers online directly, but my kongregate id wasnt recognised.

it started happening during the Valentine Event, and it has stopped happening shortly after the removal phase of the Valentine Event ended.

Not sure what Kongregate is but doesnt it have support? Makes sense to ask them too.

I would suggest contacting out support team here. That way you can see if there is a way to login direct through TSO if this does happen again and also to see what some possible fixes might be as well.

It's back! Also, that link just redirects me to the Kong game page, with the grey screen. I'd delete some cookies, but then I'd likely become unable to complain here.

Edit: Reloading fixed it. Weird.

For now. I wouldn't be surprised if it starts happening again during the easter event.

It didn't happen during the easter event, but it's back now.

Edit: a couple reloads fixed it.
