not sure why (and I DONT wanna hear about cache ) but everyday now game loads slower and slower to the point i can't get on after 20 plus minutes - yesterday after a almosted totally wasted 24 hour prem i relized there were people in all the chat sections talking about game load problems problems - didn't see any posts so now there is worst part is the easter event kicks off in a couple days and all i can see is a 30 day wasted prem and no egg fun trhank you
Yeah, there are two other threads that are talking about this, but those threads were originally on other topics. The devs are looking into it, as it's affecting a number of us.
This seems to be worse with Chrome browser vs. Edge browser but both are loading with excessively long times...
Today Chrome would not load at all after 30 minutes I gave up on it. ;(
June 18, 2019 Update: The Settlers Online still does not load in Chrome and still hangs at the same loading point as before - after the recent efforts to fix this critical problem with the game... ;(
Game won't load, goes about half way and stops. Going on 24 hours now, sucks.

Several of us have found somewhat of a work-around, as odd as it sounds ... try this: Start the login process and note the time on your lower-corner clock. At 4 minutes, do a refresh (don't shut down, just use the small arrow refresh icon). About 95% of the time, you will be in the game somewhere around another 4 minutes. It doesn't work if you wait 3 minutes, or 5 minutes, btw.
I'm extremely discouraged by this ongoing tech issue. Using windows 7 professional edition with chrome browser, and have zero problems anywhere else on the web.
What ive been told Chrome doesnt have user modified setting for max file size for caching files so even with the fix big files arent cached so they have to be downloaded every single time and thats why the process can hang.
Firefox has a setting for that and in my case at least it works perfectly after applying the fix.
Please STOP doing events.. you're killing us.. 50 min to load the game this morning. at 5 in the morning (est) so not even a normally busy time. How many of us have begged you to stop .. stop .. just concentrate on fixing it! .. Last night at 10pm i couldn't even get back on at all. so my bookbinder sat done, my explorers - unsent - geos unsent...
The loading issue has not changed at all for several of my guildmates.
Apparently the 10 hour maintenance to fix the loading issue did nothing.

I found the same issue (using any browser, but I use chrome the most), I have found that refreshing after about 5-10 mins, it seems to load quicker on the second go round (most times).
Today was the first time I was able to use the four minute refresh trick successfully to load The Settlers Online in Chrome... ;)
These loading times are totally unacceptable.
Please fix this game crippling bug now UbiSoft and Blue Byte!

Why is this still happening ? Still taking far too long to load - 5 to 10 minutes or longer each time. I thought this was supposed to be fixed with your summer event update.
Over an hour now and still can't get in today.
