Looking forward to level 7 upgrades. Nice to have another goal to work towards.
Since the Xmas event is being technically implemented, I'm guessing it starts on the 17th??
Added level is nice, XMAS Event looks another great one with pretty interesting new buildings (Christmas Bakery) thank you BB for keeping on improving and releasing new content!
But why such a restriction list on level 7 buildings?
Why could other buildings not be upgraded?
Like a lot of the Expert or Elite buildings like Coinage, friary, gold smelters, Powder Hut, Forge, carriage makers, platinum smelters, saddle-cloth weavers and the rest of Improved buildings?
Why aren't the "brand new" build like Oil Mill and Elite Tool available to 7?
Why such a "small" building list of available upgrade to 7?

About the only things I'd maybe upgrade to lvl 7 is island/improved warehouses. I don't see either on the list. The toolmaker is needed. I'm guessing the oil mill will allow you to make machine/elixir buffs.
Way to go with more levels! Very Pleased :)
Nice to see new levels and I hope to also soon see new content for the higher levels.
Also it will be nice to be able to further upgrade buildings, hopefully all buildings will eventually be upgradeable to level 7.
I can see the benefits of the boost to level 80 for some players, but here I was thinking I was almost max level. I had slowed way down about a year ago anyway, but I'm not seeing the point to keep chasing XP. I'll still adventure a lot during events and will hit 74 and maybe 75 eventually, but no chance I get anywhere near 80.
While I do agree that it would be nice to actually have some reason to level up other than a higher number, locking important content behind a wall that most people will give up long before they get close to climbing can be just as problematic.
Level 7 buildings is a nice change. I'll get some use out of it. The selection is extremely limited, but I do have some use for a handful of those buildings.
When are you going to fix the blinking "whisper"? everytime I log in I have to whisper someone to stop it from constantly blinking when no one is there.
BB ! ANY BB! Please answer the question about what is being adjusted on the
Thank you very much!Quote:

Also this goes the devs in charge of game mechanics. I'm absolutely livid about the fact the upgrade times for buildings is not being addressed.
No upgrade should take 7 days. And now you have level 4 to 5, level 5 to 6 and level 6 to 7 all taking 7 days. If you were to build a building from level 1 and plan to upgrade it to level 7. The time it would take to get to 7 would be an eternity too long. New players don't live that long, and older players might die before they see the upgrade completed. Please address the issue, and make it go for something like level 3 to 4 which is 1 day. to 2 days for 4 to 5. then 4 days for 5 to 6. and 8 days for 6 to 7. Get some logic and reasoning behind the upgrade times please. Thanks.
I went to the wiki. The toolmaker isn't what I thought it would be. We really could use an alternate way to make basic tools. You can't really build up the chain that much if you also need the nibs and/or bronze swords.
Grim Reaper, Lord Dracul and Younger Gemini General prices are going up in the shop..... Well I would never have considered buying more LD or Reapers anyway, and YGG price rise - meh!, wasn't thinking seriously of getting another one anyway, so this move kinda reenforces that.
Re Level 7 upgrades. It sounded exciting until I looked at the list.... BB already had feedback that the regular lettersmith was under utilised mostly paused on many many peoples islands. They had to give the improved lettersmith away free so we would install them. That certainly does not need a level 7 upgrade.
Ability to go to Level 7 on buildings that are better replaced by Improved buildings in many cases doesn't make sense to me. There are 3 or maybe 4 at a stretch that I would consider upgrading in that list.
I would welcome some changes that were meaningful, and think in principle it all sounded good, however as they say "the devil is in the details"...
From the list noted above, here are the buildings I figure I would upgrade to L7 (some of which I don't have, but might get later)...
Colored Finesmith
Colored Papermill
Exotic Wood Cutter
Exotic Wood Forester
Exotic Wood Sawmill
Finesmith
Granite Mason
Hardwood Cutter
Hardwood Sawmill
Hunter
Improved Lettersmith
Intermediate Papermill
Lettersmith
Mahogany Sawmill
Marble Mason
Simple Papermill
Storehouse
Toolmaker
The real value I'm seeing is the Storehouse, Granite Mason, Mahogany Sawmill, and the Exotic Wood chain. Any regular Mine going to L7 is a waste if you don't have a huge stream of Depos, so pass on those. Adding the rest of the Gold/Coin chain would have been nice.
However, I think many people may be missing that the real value in this boost is not for those of us who have been playing for years, but for those still working their way through the L35-L55 range, where they need more outputs, but may not have been playing long enough to have gotten a lot of the Event buildings we Veterans have. Now they can add extra production for something they are likely building up anyways (Oilseed from Adv Loot) without needing rare and expensive buildings and/or more building licenses.
The fact it's a nice bonus for the rest of us is just that...a bonus.
It also encourages more adventuring, and despite my slowdown since the Easter fiasco, that's likely a good thing overall for the game.
As far as the rest:
L80 - Irrelevant to me, since I'm unlikely to make it out of the 60s at this rate. Really lost my drive after Easter.
Oil - Nice mechanic, especially since it's available to everyone.
Adv Toolmaker - Okay, but it would have been nice to also act as an Imp Toolmaker as well, maybe with a recipe/etc.
Harbour - Sure, we'll see how this turns out.
What we need are more available copper depos.
Do a bunch of us have to spam the forums to get an answer for this?
Again, what is the value being changed? Will any BB please answer. Thank you.Quote:

am i the only one that noticed the amount of xp required for the next levels is smaller than what it takes to 75?
74 to 75 is about 217mill xp, 75 to 76 is only 130mill.....somethings not right
Looks alright to me. They made it so that going from 76 to 80 is the same as going from 1 to 75, rather than continuing the same previous XP scaling that eventually gets insane. That way, 79 to 80 is "only" 270 million XP, rather than 650 million.
+1
Please be Transparent about changes - what are you changing regarding Prices of Gens and Specialists in Shop??
I never noticed any of those generals were available before now, but I don't see the difference before and after. I did, however, see the extra Vargus, Nusala, and Anselm. Those are welcome.
Just a general obsesrvation that keeps bugging me with every update: When I see a date on the homepage & forums that reads "10/12/2019", those of us in the United States read that as October 12, not December 10. Maybe if the pages read "10 Dec 2019" that would help a lot. I have to keep translating that in my head. Thanks!
The date thing is confusing, I do like the suggestion of 10 DEC 2019. This is a nice compromise for a US server.
We think the rest of the world should catch up to us.
I'm not sure how much it matters for anybody who's been level 75 for a while, but if they go to add another 5 levels it caps at 10 billion and then 30 billion the time after that. At some point it's madness. I thought the same thing about 1 billion. I still think that, though I probably will hit it eventually. May as well be 3 billion for me. I can't see myself hitting either.
So there aren't any quests related to the Advanced Toolmaker or Seeds?
honestly I would like to see improved cutters and foresters. just a thought.
Just hit lvl 66, and it's buzzkilled already. Don't imagine I'll keep on much longer. It's getting monotonous. Exponentially ramping up production requirements doesn't make it any more fun, just more tedious. Even doing GQ is more costly than it's worth now. I've definitely done my last weekly, after lvl 65 it's beyond ridiculous. :(
Advanced toolmaker sure is slow going with its lengthy production time and cap at level 1. I built 3 to see if I can try to get some stockpile. Might build some more. Build cost is reasonable at least. It's not too bad for these buildings with 1000, but when you start getting into 6000 or more, you really notice the bottleneck. If I wanted to upgrade all my granite masons, it would take 3.5 months with 4x buffs.
Oil is even worse since you can't buff or build as many as you want without gems, and the input isn't as easy to come by. I got the beanstalk one. I've been waiting for a reason to spend obsidian ore, so I might get that as well. With a third one from Christmas, it becomes a little more manageable. About that same 3.5 months to upgrade those granite masons, assuming you have the oilseed to keep them running, which is not too extreme (1 Wood Cutter per day with premium), but that's a lot more adventuring than I do now.
Oil Mill - OK production speed and YET ANOTHER building which you can't upgrade, so if you want faster have to spend (a lot) on more buildings to use up the land space.
Advanced toolmaker - 38 minute + production and no upgrades... seriously? come on BB stop taking the p*
Ghost lanterns still bugged.
i reported 3 wks ago that my treasure chest had only one slot after update.
i waited to complete the quest , then removed and rebuilt 2 lanterns. following week was fine - 3 slots.
this week 1 slot again.
??
both times .. it was a gem prize.. however previous it was 10gem in a slot .. now its 1 slot 20 gems
Chart of all loot
https://prnt.sc/qgz7r9
Removing and rebuilding all 3 worked for me.
I just had them return with a single slot. First time for that. :/
tech support asked for time date etc.. and then.. dead. no response.. i should have had a new ghost ship hours ago. but nope instead the count disappeared.. the ship didnt appear - and the quest is no where to be found...
clicking lanterns did nothing
https://photos.smugmug.com/Computers...11.47%20PM.jpg
Finally after clicking all 3 lanterns over an over - several min - I get the stupid ship
This time 3 in box - but it seems the bug is limited to when Gems are awarded.
