Just read Dev Diary for event. Have some questions.
"During the 10th Anniversary of "The Settlers Online" a seasonal Event Bonus with 2x XP and 3x loot will be active."
Does this mean all adventures get this bonus? If not, which ones get bonus?
Bold Explorer
Is the task speed 250% (per Event guide) or 150% (per Dev diary)?
Celebration Quest
Round 3: Add 3000 hardwood logs to any deposit
Round 5: Add 5000 wheat to any deposit.
How do we do this? Are you expecting us to use Omniseeds? (1 sack of 2500 Omniseeds = 500 gems)
Celebration Quest
Are some of the tasks cumulative? Such as the following:
Looting x resources: each round want 10K more resources looted.
Explorer searches: each round asks for more explorer searches.
Looking forward to the celebration quest - hope the 3000 hardwood logs part is fixed to accept any deposit though. The Wheat deposits are easy enough since some adventures give those plus your mayor house can make those.
I doubt the resources or explorer searches would be cumulative, that is too easy. Plus according to wiki they reset back down to 3/3 at round VII
5x4 building? Many people struggled to find a good spot for the 4x4 Sunflower Farm.
From BB_Ezzer on the test server: "The refiller quests have been rebalanced and the hardwood as resource has been removed from the questchain.
Thank you for your feedback in this regard!
Regarding the misty cake adventure, the difficulty will be set when the adventure is started. So you can keep it and play it with the level you desire.
We have not finally decided yet if the adventure will be available via adventure search or similar after the event. This also depends on the feedback we'll receive on it."
Also: "The tasks for the refiller quests will be as follows from round 1 to 10:
Fish 1000
Copper Ore 2000
Coal 3000
Meat 4000
Wheat 2000
Iron Ore 5000
Meat 7000
Copper Ore 8000
Coal 9000
Gold Ore 3000
Happy Settling!"*
So Coal instead of hardwood now. Also, note that it just says resources and not a specific kind to loot. Since they all count and it is triple loot, you will be getting more than 10K easily on even the the most basic adventures. For example, Witch of the swamp normally gives 4300 total basic resources minimum, so that would be 12900 with triple loot.

I have coal, iron, and gold. I always just waste copper and wheat to unclutter my star. Guess I need to stop doing that, but have none of either currently.
I think you would be in a very tiny minority of players if you had an endless mine on every copper and/or coal spot available. I have 3 endless copper and I never have to bother with running short just with those 3.
I imagine an endless just goes back to your star menu anyway if anyone was ever in this position - so evil is pretty meh in this case.
As far as I know, a 6th isn't possible yet, but 5 is. Sure it would be a small minority of players...who are financially supporting the game.
Yes, the endless goes back to star on destruction...but you lose all upgrades, so potentially three weeks to level back up. Sure, it's doable, but is it really necessary if the designers are gently reminded in a forum post to watch out for such potential conflicts?
I noticed that the link for "adventure loot" table doesn't have a link attached to it. Is this intentional or can it be corrected?
Future reference, is there a way to add a timer to the homepage/Dev Diary? With all the different time zones, it gets kinda old explaining the start time of an event for at least a day. Or maybe add an in-game timer, kinda like a "Kick Off" timer.
Bought the Mist Cakes Adventure for the Event... went to run it... and it wont let me attack the camps with my generals... i am Level 72.. using the level 54+ guide from wiki...
Check out our changelog from today's maintenance HERE.
after hot fix. i got 2 daily (event based) for new experience.. great i had two of those in star.. i ran them both.. only 1 daily clears.. ???
Apparently the Dora quest asking to buff the brewery does not work with Friaries. I had to build a brewery just to complete the quest, which sucks when you have almost no free space
Folks, I'm not sure if you are aware, but if you donate the balloons now, they will still count towards the 2nd and 3rd goals. I heard from some super secret source that we'll be really close if you start donating balloons from your warehouses!
pssstttt BB Trafffer don't mind balloons... you know Misty Cake is still bugged?... and it is a quest to complete it... How we can complete a quest if you give us a broken tool?
for celebration building.. should i not get 2 boxes cause i'm prem?? i got 2 day one.. and today.. i get 1 ??
You gave players under lvl 55 quest to do very long adv searches which is not possible so we cannot finish the quest without buying with gems
Nothing to comment on ... A game under any criticism far below expectations. It freezes, falls, etc ... The people from BB are stubborn to continue to use the flash player, even though they knew a year in advance that there is no support.
We are fully aware of this and therefore performed maintenance with a hotfix which made some improvements to Misty Cake.
I've also published some workarounds here.
Updates for phase 2 and 3 can be found on our homepage, social media, and in-game - please check it :)
That sounds like a good fix. Hopefully people actually donate them rather than continuing to sit on them. I suspect a lot of people don't know about or consider the continuing contributions worthwhile, whereas the quests to get to 25k have an immediately apparent incentive. Though I would expect the goal of 2.1 billion to be achievable regardless, probably days early.
Did someone really drop the ball at BB?? I have never seen an event that did not have the Quests adjusted for the level of the player. I am level 69 so I am not affected, but quildmates that are below 56 are locked out of the Round X due to restrictions on Explorer searches. This is very unfair to those players. They could use gems to proceed, but I didn't have to use gems to continue.
As an example of Level adjusted quests, I had to use Mahogany Wood, while they used Exotic Wood to continue. (sorry but I am unsure of the Title of this quest, but anyone that has reached that one knows about it, (all about the Dance Floor)).
I just hope that this does not point to a larger conditions that says BB does not plan to continue the game. I will not be purchasing gems until I see a positive step in that direction. And if BB wants to confirm that I have purchased gems in the past, all they have to do is check.
A lot of people have been confused by the three extra days appearing in the event timer. MANY people have thought they could finish their quests within the time shown on the event timer, but are suddenly having a rude awakening that they don't have as much time as they thought.
Although, another player just pointed out that the "Deactivation" on the 24th seems to imply quests will still be active and event resources will still be supplied during the 3-day grace period after the event ends. Which begs the question of what actually ends on the 21st, then.
agreed hortons -- the time including the deactivation time was wholly confusing to me and many guildies.
also... we completed phase 3 last night.. still waiting for our phase 2 bonuses we were promised.
Isn't that how the countdown always works? Though it's probably not the most intuitive display. Might make more sense to countdown to the deactivation, then countdown separately to removal. I myself have been using the contribution clock as my countdown.
Looks like probably tomorrow we should get the phase 2 rewards, delayed since it is a weekend.
Quote:
As soon as the goal of week 3 has been achieved, we will manually send out the reward from week 2. This can happen with a delay of 1 day.
Phase 2 rewards sent - please check your In-Game inbox.
About the event still going on - it should work until 24th (bonus loot/exp, etc). For example, you can still get some achievements if you haven't achieved them yet. I understand that this is a bit confusing and I will bear it in mind in future events.
Thanks for clarifying. Overall, despite some snags, this has been a very nice event. 3 generals, 3 explorers, geologists, bunches of houses, several other useful buildings, and tons of nukes… It's been very generous with the rewards, I'd say. And I've run more adventures than I usually ever do, and leveled up twice in the process. Thank you to everyone who put in work to put it together.
+1
And I'll add that this was one of my favorite events in over 8 years of playing. The rewards were over the top! Yeah, a few snags....... wouldn't be an event if everything went smoothly. And also a big, big, big, yuuuuge thank you for giving us the phase 2 rewards even tho we didn't make it!! I was so bummed thinking I missed out on the Thatched Cottage and Emphatic Explorer. Thanks again!!
There are issues with most events, but at the end of the day, I can't complain for the rewards you can get. Lots of nice stuff this event.
I still think they backed themselves into a corner with oil and this ridiculous multiple buildings concept, but the oil refinery is an interesting way to address that. At least oil is not quite so slow anymore, even if it does take up even more space still.
New general is possibly interesting as a farmer, but with that low a troop count, I'm not sure I'll get much use out of him.
I enjoyed this event, even I had to use nukes (twice) to complete Misty Cake adventure... I can say I was trading my nukes for that quite big amount of books and the very nice surprise at the end of the daily mini event quest chain (that scouting post). And the Machine Oil buffs which will be very handy on Halloween event...
Good job, really, thank you :)
