well tried with a non admin account and got the same can't update client so sent off support ticket, expect a resolution about 1 year after I die. really looks like close to 7 years down the tubes

This is not ok BB! Full control to any PC using this client? So BB can steal any data if ppl use this client!

I get all the way to the last page of instructions and then it freezes. You sure your server is even working?

I had asked day one about W7 and 32 when they announced the client, as that's the old laptop I usually play it on, but of course never got a response.
So be nice to know if I should work at it to get it to work, keep an eye on the forums, or just toss the game as it's not going to be supported for it.

PS. For me, just keeps asking me to download the client again even though I have and it installed. W7 32 Chrome.

I didn't have any issues installing or getting the client working, but I would have liked to change the location where it is installed. My default drive is solid state and is low on space. Once the game ran (Win 7, 64 bit) it showed as "Not Responding" for a few minutes, but then loaded.
I know the staff of BB worked hard and it's difficult to have to deal with so many problems and complaints, but hang in there. It's still an impressive accomplishment to keep this game going for so long and changing platforms is challenging. Thank you for your many efforts!
I've been playing this game with my cousin and my wife on a same computer with the help of adobe flashplayer that can support multiple logged in account. Do you plan on enabling the downloadable client to activate multiple accounts on a single computer?
The New client is a complete disaster. Jusst like it was on test server it has constant issuees Took me 40 mins to login played for 10 tried to visit someones island and the game creashed Tried to play settlers on my phone and it wont let me play there at all Its a Complete joke. For someone who has spent money in this game for a long time I am totally disgusted that I can no longer play it and there is 0 chaance of getting any refund or satisfaction from BB
Couldn't get in the game on test. Can't get in game live. Surprise surprise.
After installation I click play now. Open URL:The Settlers Online pop-up happens. When I click on it, the pop-up goes away, then nothing happens. Rinse, repeat ad infinitum.
What a crock.......
so i installed on my work pc.. and the client CONSTANTLY locks up w/ not responding (and then resets to global chat tab)... i mean click mail.. freeze, click chat tab.. freeze, type in chat.. freeze wait for it to show my my typing.. we're talking a min at a time.. this is unplayable this way.
As a Mac user I say, so long and thanks for all the fish! I'm definitely not holding my breath about playing again
Apparently you are misunderstanding that screen. That screen shows what permissions group SYSTEM has, not the game itself. If you look at any program executable, you will see the exact same thing on every one of them. And all 3 groups will be the same (each group may have different permissions, but each group individually will be the same for all programs).Quote:

k i get 20 sec of game play before it freezes up.. i just noticed that in the background the window we hit 'play' on to launch is CONTINUALLY refreshing and logging out and back in.... this game version is completely unplayable. i cannot even get my collies. click one ..lock up.. .click mail .. lock up... get a whisper? forgetabowdid...

I'm not the only one... in fact it just literally session timed me out.. many in global were reporting lag issues .. etc. and several in my guild were reporting it re-logging in constantly.
I hope you'll be postponing the Christmas event until you can provide access for those who are being deprived of it right now.

I don't see anyone in global saying that. Some people have said they didn't instal it in the default folder as they were told to though and that seems to be causing issues and people seem to be exiting the game some unknown way and having to reinstall it but when they use the red button to close the game they aren't.Quote:
