No go ... I downloaded then started the Install - first thing I got was Uninstall, so after doing that, the Install started and completed. I clicked the blue Play Now button and got the Download screen all over again. Multiple tries, same result, just looping back to Download. Pretty bleak.
My laptop has Win 7 32 bit .. earlier, I saw a comment that this won't work with 32 bit - can anyone confirm? If that is the case, well ... after 8-1/2 years of playing TSO .. Buh-Bye, BB ... shabby treatment of your players, esp on the day before you are gone for the weekend and our event starts on Monday. I am so disappointed.
Yes multiple people with 32 bit can't play this version. And most people with windows 7 can't play it either but it appears that must be the 32bit issue because someone said it works with win 7 and 64 bit.Quote:

Windows 10 here and keep getting the download screen. Have even tried going through "news" and it brings me back to the download screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Now when installing it tells me there is an "error opening file for writing" and give option of abort, retry (which does nothing), and ignore which then finishes but still brings me to the download screen. I try going through news and still brings me to download.
No complaints from me so far. Seems to work just like normal.
anyone notice how quiet BB is ? and that its other players trying to troubleshoot? Its rather upsetting that not a single BB is to be found when they do a major chance/release like this.. right up to a weekend.
I am also running W7 32 bit and can't get it to load. I have gone through all the steps and when I click play now, nothing happens. Looks like it wants to do something, and then just stops.

Same issue here. The client says it is installed, but get the error message. Followed all the instructions, but no help. Hope it gets working, soon.

I have no idea why they changed this to not being able to instal as administrator. Most people who have their own pcs are the administrators. I have no idea how to change to non administrator and I don't want to mess around with this function. I had been playing the game fine for about 5 hours (except for some display issues in an adventure about 3 hours ago) and then the game became unresponsive and I had to relog and when I did it asked me to download the game again.

When we talked about it in global asking if we would be able to play all we got was abuse for even asking. Now it turns out we had valid questions and there was no effort to include us at all. Otherwise we would of had a test version for Mac users at the same time as the pc version

same problem here as well i have a 32 bit and well i wonder what this means for us then? we might never be able to play this game again :( and just before the christmas event as well :(

Anyone having issues make sure you have the right folder under windows/users/(whatever your comp is called)/AppData/local/Ubisoft you should have a folder called The Settlers Online in the folder it should look like this https://prnt.sc/w5q82g then open the folder Client and replace the client.swf file then reboot and try app again....I helped someone earlier who didnt have the client folder for what ever reason when it was installed hence why i said to check what is in the screen shot to the files you have to make sure they all installed
I am logged in, download the client, but no pop up windows to continue. So what do I do?????
Perfect BB, I cannot even install the app. it is loading but then when I try to install the app, I have an error message saying: "error opening file for writing". I had no problem a week ago on test server and today I have the same error message with test server. :(
