This event seems mostly disappointing. However, the Lucky Explorer looks interesting.
Striving for goals and/or working with other players to make/achieve something is a big key to keeping people interested in this game. Things like player conquerable islands, guild banks and PVP...

The real kicker on whether these will be played will be the loot. It has to more than compensate people for the annoyance, and time, that is part of doing cooperative adventures.
