Unhappy Scammers the new norm, while Bluebyte sits silent?

Three times now in two day a scammer has appeared selling false lootspots, dozens of legitimate players witness it, many people report it, nothing is done. Today (likely the exact same person) comes back imitating a well known player (deano1978) with nearly identical name (NAME REDACTED) and takes 1000 beans from several people with exact same scam, only to disappear and no doubt transfer them to an alternate account. Yesterday it was a guy named NAME REDACTED.

It should not be difficult to A) remove these accounts, B) track down the perpetrators, C) remove the accounts they are sending the scammed items to, D) ban them.

People pay real money to support this game, and Bluebyte has the nerve to sit around silent and not deal with these blatent scammers? I am very near to quitting and putting Bluebyte and their leads on my list of companies I will never purchase from again.

    Highly disappointed.

Unfortunately, the company does not support loot spots. Also, any trade done through the system is BUYER BEWARE. Only trade with players you know and trust. If an account is reported as a multi-account, it will be investigated. That's about as far as I've seen though.

Also, it is now against the rules to specifically list these names in the forums here, or to call them out as scammers in chats. I expect this post will be removed or highly edited soon.

It does add a more 'real life' authenticity to the game.

I should say first that I do not condone scamming players in any form. While the trading office and channel represents an unregulated economy, it is expected that regardless of the prices offered, the product will be delivered. However, the moderators do not have the tools to verify in-game transactions nor to track IP's. The customer service representatives do have these tools, and have been notified. Of course, the fact that this is a holiday weekend may be one of the reasons for a sudden increase in these events.

While there is always going to be a delay between the scamming events and an investigation, there is a simple procedure that can be used to decrease the number of potential scammers. It should be the general practice to sent a friend request before purchasing, to verify the ability of the person to run the adventure. While it may not be practical to buy only from previous friends, creating the friend link before transferring any purchase is not an unreasonable precaution for a first time purchase.

It means Let the buyer beware, not do unto others.

What boggles my mind is how/why player's even fall for these so called scams.
Are you playing in a vacuum? Not in my guild.
