I am level 27 and the only item in the shop worth buying from my point of view is the 10 licenses. but only if i can buy gems from other players with in game resources. all the items in the gem store seem to be WAY over priced except the 10 licenses. for example 100 settlers for 945 that is 10 bucks and this will only work once. for licenses they are 650 which is over the 5 dollar but just under being able to get 2 with the 10 dollar so lets say 10 dollars. that is ten buildings which keep on giving.

The best deal is for the extra licenses, I seem to be constantly juggling buildings to free up a license

32, extra building licenses, extra licenses means more production, in RTS games resources are everything. In MMO games resources come second only to trading, no buff for trades so its licenses for me.

level 23, and I bought gems, to get a guild house, I think I agree with everyone else too licenses are the most important, cause with out them you are at a stand still

level 21 - most definitely the building licenses. Gotta expand my empire!!!

If you really speak of the shop and not the trader, I'd say the 3200 gems for 25,00. Not too expensive and still a good bonus.
But if the question is about the trader, the +10 building licenses is the most appealing because I always find myself short of it... I have sections I fought for that have almost nothing on it because of that
