no, because unless it offers something completely new and different (major update - can't be done unless reset..), would prefer to continue - and see what the rest have to offer. Since it's still beta, doesn't really make much different - the point is to test it out and see if any more improvement can be done/implemented b4 release. For those who want to restart, a reset button would be good idea if it's not too hard to implement

I see both ways. But i vote for a wipe before the game goes live.
If the closed beta testers go into open beta, with no wipe, we could test the higher end content (if we don't get to it by then). The new open beta testers could find any bugs or issues that us closed testers might have missed. Its usually good to have a fresh set of eyes looking at it. But once it goes live, then i say a wipe.

Why is there even a debate over this?
We're still in closed beta and it would be unfair for all new comers if there were no wipe before the game goes open.
Please do not wipe it would end the game for me I could never start all over again, I think if a person wants to start over again they should, but why destroy what others have already created.

I prefer no wipe but also see that it gives beta testers advantage..but then that always happens doesn't it?
Exactly, and there should be some bit of advantage to the Beta testers, a bit of thanks for all everyone has done. In the life of the full game these few advantages will mean nothing to the whole game, but at this point it will mean a lot to the testers.

We are all testers who have been given everything for free.
Our time investment has been, and is being rewarded by game play.
It would be an unfair advantage to go beyond Beta with what we have created so far. Not to mention that were are all on closed islands.
After wiping we would still be starting with huge advantages. Friends we have made and know we can trust. Understanding of the game that puts us way ahead on the learning curve from noobs. Just knowing what NOT to do will help immeasurably when starting over.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth.
