It would be nice to be able to see all your resources at the top toolbar. If there is not enough space set up a rolling toolbar it would help a lot to know what you need the most.

I'd just like to see the remaining resources in mines and ponds. So we know when to deposit buff
@Bloodmoon: There is a way to see resources, Mayor's house or storeroom. Maybe a warning when resources in storage are getting too high or too low would be nice.
P.S. If you put this in the thread for tips and hints, you could win jewels.
@Bloodspirit: You can see that by scrolling in and clicking on the well, mine, fisherman, etc...

What I would like to see in the upper resource bar is a customizable one. I would like to be able to choose what goes up there. For instance, really don't care about gold as much as I do fir wood logs, or Bronze swords and Bows.

Might I suggest a small 'Down Arrow' placed just to the right of the Marble stack. When clicked, this Down Arrow will add a second (drop-down) layer just below the current resource bar that displays the unlisted resources.
The 'Down Arrow' on the main resource bar then turns into an Up Arrow, which when clicked removes the drop-down currently unlisted resources.
