I'm lvl 28 and it takes me almost 1.5 weeks to lvl up. I would like an alternative to combat for xp like building or trade quests.
We need a way to increase our troop production over time. This is the solution.
Making the troops faster build will only serve to speed part of the game up.
But a controlled speed increase will make the leveling faster. However, it will not completely fix the problem because the troops production usage needs to be fixed (IE, some weapons are just to hard to make). by adding another barricks, you enable another upgrading process, which in turns speeds up end game (the desired effect) and the middle parts. It also gives the player the ability to choose what is the right pace for them, all around its the best apporach. from there just balance the units, their stats and costs and its golden.
The barricks needs level 3's cost nerfed A Lot to like 500g, 1000 marble or something. And the speed increases on the barricks need to be decreased slightly after level 3.
From here adding a second barricks (Advanced barricks that cost more, and has higher build speeds) will enable the "over time effect" desired.
The Core issue is to understand why the game is, stop go stop go stop go.
In a consensus we have found that people are just struggling to produce (or Aquire) the items (31%), then produce the troops (64%). a large amount (86%) Felt that it was not worth building the troops and they wanted to focus on trading and making gold.
An interesting idea would be to have multiple quests, that a person can do (10+ a day) That will help them or encourage them to troop produce.
this would encourage them to level.
This is a great game, but i badly feel that there is a need to re balance some production times, and the idea of how upper tier units are so hard to make. in time those items will come to be common, but i feel they will still be over priced. people go away from longbow men a lot, this is a big problem, i badly feel this needs to be corrected. so please consider balancing the troops. with stronger troops, there may be less loss, and as a result faster leveling due to low downtime.

There is nothing, NOTHING new at level 40. Remove level 40 entirely?
As I recall, there is also nothing new at levels 24, 27, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 37, 38 & 39. Should those levels be gone as well?

There should probably be some bonus infantry in the tutorial levels to get you through opening up sector 8 faster without newbies losing a lot and suffering painful setbacks early on due to not knowing to use enough force to kill the camps in one round. Also, Cavalry should come sooner, because it's an important part of the rock/paper/scissors combat.
Also, all metals aside from copper take too much coal.
