Probably combines other various materials to form them.

From what I've read you also get exotic wood from the highest level treasure hunt and possibly also as rewards during adventures
Arad1 or one of the other BB's would be able to answer this one. I saw they are already level 50
For Sale: Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.
It could also potentially be a feature that isn't fully implemented yet.
In other words: you may see the buildings on the construction tab, but the resources required might not be in game yet.
Here's your answer. Currently, you get Exotic wood logs from Long Treasure Hunts (rare chance to get them on Med Treas Hunts) and as rewards from Advents. Same for Titanium Ore.

Here's more of your answer...I'm only level 38 and I have an abundance of exotic wood. That will not be an issue...the thing you'll be low on is granite. Granite is used to build higher level buildings and to upgrade pretty much any other building.
Titanium ore is used for crossbowmen and higher tier army units. You'll find that you have enough even though it's rare.
When you get granite or find a good deal on granite, keep it. Save it. You'll need it.
